That looks fab. I love how the gun looks completely different in various lighting conditions.

I will be going down the deep end with paint this season as well.

You're missing the plastic spacers that the Madbull rail ships with.

Looks good. I have a 10" upper laying around which I may put the shorter version of the RIS II on, to build a mk18 mod 1. I like those aimpoint covers

Not as nicely painted as yours, but don't know if I could paint my whole gun :L. You could get another upper, and make a shorter version too.

I ordered directly from VFC.. costed a lil to much though imo. $60 USD Shipped.

I really would of went a MK18 Mod 0, but decided to just keep with the stock SR635 for cqb, for outdoors I was debating on a 16+" length, but decided it probably wouldn't suit me.

Wilkie, curious as I have never painted a gun before, only everything else. How did you go about the process? What did you remove from the rifle, cover up, etc?

Well, with that particular rifle if you notice the upper and lower are painted differently, because I painted it with the shorter upper on it.

For the lower I (excluding the pistol grip which is basically the same thing minus step 2) started with a coat of tan, after simply masking off the magwell. I then took a plain sheet of paper, and cut a wavy pattern down one side. Painting streight down that line produces a line with a soft faded edge on one side, and a hard wavy edge on the other. I then used a set of orange holders to make the dot pattern. Lines were done with brown, the dots brown and green.

The upper reciever I had to mask off underneath as I was painting it seperatly. For it I just started with tan, and laid several stripes of grass across it in different angles. Through on some greens, grey and a little mist of black.

I can do a how-to thread with step by step pictures if you'd like

Got mah Classic Army Fthoooomp machine. Just need the front bracket to mount it on. Not sure why it doesn't come with one, as it can't mount any other way

My heavily modified M4SIR. Started with a Dboys, gutted it, threw full Modify stuff in, and polished off the externals. My headache, my workhorse.
