1 in 50? That's terrible!!! You have better odds with drugs or illegal guns. Ask the gangs up here.

ive been suspecting this issue for a period now.

"Is it REALLY necessary to have a proper license to import Airsoft guns?"

That's the question there.

I've had Mk23 type silencer shipped from WGC shop to here. And the customs had inspected it and evidently opened up my package to see the silencer.

When I was taxed, the customs receipt had the following written:

Shipment Value: $280 - GUNS, Parts - Tax: $xxxx

So they ACTUALLY knew that it was a "Gun" part and they actually gotten it to me.

I don't have ANY firearms license or anything, neither does anyone living on my address.

I had just emailed CBSA about this.

Hoping to get a reply soon.

Paintball guns are not "perfectly legal" in Canada. Trust me, I've fought Customs on this a time or 2 before. If it looks like a gun, hoses or not, they can and will classify it as a "replica", which means prohibited. I have fought them on appeal and lost more than I won.

You may have had some success selling to Canadians. But most Canadians have not had success. Why do you think there are no retailers in Canada? The paintball trick has been tried before and to no avail.

You may get lucky and get a CBSA agent who could care less, or you may get one that actually enforces their own published policies. Like any civil service, you take your chances.

Most gun parts are legal to import without a license. The CBSA has a watchlist of certain parts, like lower receivers, FA kits for AR's, etc.

no wonder so many people from the states had been able to bring their Airsoft guns here.

I will try it when I'm going seattle this year =DDDD

WarChild7 its still smuggling, and thats an illegal act. Last I checked your country has a fun time trying to stop such things; doesn't help when it gets promoted to the public.

Sure, you can get away with at the border, but not getting caught doesn't make it any less of a crime then if you were caught.

It wouldn't really be considered smuggling if the customs officer(The dude in charge that was talked to) agrees?

That seems like the gray area.

it's not smuggling when you declare at the customs booth what you're bringing back, which is, by law, what you're supposed to do.. if the customs agent is aware of what you have, and allows you to proceed, what have you done that's illegal?

As far as I know they don't have an age verification system, I have ordered from them many times but have never done anything to confirm my age. Maybe they check ASC?
