I'm curious, any reason why its so far forward? Kind of curious why that gun is built the way it is, lol.

Being a short gun, any further back without mounting higher = no full face protection. Seeing as how I wasn't replicating anything I decided to build it perfect for me. Anyone else may find the thing unusable but it fits me and aims perfect this way. I was going for a fairly high speed yet durable setup that has enough fps for outdoor play. Went with the patriot style to allow for big ass battery that'll last all day and power the teinly45000 motor the way it's meant to be. I won't know about durability till summer but all the other boxes are ticked. Next is a reaper gun skin just for the hell of it. Going to put some on the furniture of my other guns so they'll be a set. It's kind of like the Honda Ridgeline I drive, I think it looks great even if some others don't, and it fits me and works great for everything it's intended for and more.

A lot of people mount them farther forward for faster target acquisition. I've never seen one that far forward, but obviously thats redundant because the iron sights would normally get in the way, lol

I like it. I would spend $50 and get a replica T1 or RMR, but that's just me

Slowly but surely! Really impressed with the construction of the MAGpul lower and Vltor upper. Just in the middle of cannibalising the broken King Arms reciever for the few little doo dads that the new one didn't come with.

Sorry for the awful cell phone picture. My PC is down right now

There are still a few things I'm going to need however: a new stock that I can run a battery in, an outer and inner barrel, and perhaps a new bolt catch because my old one doesn't seem to fit.

Stealth, I'm noticing that the area where the bolt catch sits doesn't have a hole drilled. Is this normal?

That's normal and how G&P bodies are. Unfortunately not all bolt release levers are the same so you'll either have to a) find a G&P one or b) modify one.

Well, it's still going to be likely a month at least until this project is finished, but I did set up my handguard the way I like it. I'll probably break and end up putting the shorter rail segment and maybe some fixed DD sight on top to double as a hand stop
