I am just gonna post these here....
Nothing changed on my 1911, though I have the MEU mags coming and a pair of rosewood stippled grip made for a 1911 with magwell. If that works out I might just sell the Pachmayr.... I did get delivery of a KSC USP .45, with Creation slide and barrel(bought used on Arnie's). The quality of the slide+barrel is very good, I never had the pleasure of using SD's kit outside of Hi-Capa, so I can't compare with those, but my old USP Compact had Zeke slide+barrel and those were about on par with the Creation. |

So my MEU mags showed up....they are made with different feeling material to the normal 1911 mags, and the finish is like a brushed metal finish....I bought them mainly because I don't want to use the glue on Wilson Combat bumper, and I like silver mags, especially sanded regular TM 1911 mag does not work out to look nicely....

couldn't tell you, I have yet to grab my AI propane adaptor from home...lol My guess its not likely, since its not that much bigger in any case....the bumper seems rather like a new cap on the old mag, so I am guessing the capacity doesn't change much, though TM is rating the new mag to carry 28bbs instead of 26... |

you're 1911 looks amazing.
Question... did you actually order stuff off http://www.x-fire.org ???? Did you have any problems ordering stuff and having it shipped?

I ordered the comp and hammer off x-fire.org, since none of those are restricted items I'd imagine US and Canada are the same deal. I didn't have any problem with them...

The Nova MSH with integrated magwell was something I was looking into myself. It somehow doesn't look just quite the way I thought it would. Maybe it's just the mismatch in colour like you said.
Either way, very nice guns, I'm glad I found this post while putting together my 1911 project. I guess I'll re-evaluate my plans for the 7th time and hopefully get it going sometime soon.

it's also the grips I think. Most 1911 grip you can buy are not made for magwell, meaning they have a chamfered bottom edge. For magwell you need to find grips that are made for that. They have a straight cut along the bottom edge so theoretically the grip and the magwell will fit flush, and no gap inbetween like mine....
As I've said I am waiting for a new pair of grips to show up...when they do I'll post pics..... |
