Well, since I blew out the spur gear on my M4 today (had to take it completely apart), it seemed like a great time to paint my furniture OD. It's looking pretty good and will look pretty badass once the gun is reassembled (once I get my internal replacement parts and upgraded spring).

I also painted the body flat black. I don't know, but I don't care much for the Marui grey color the gun was before. I look at it beside my CA M15A4 and it just looks wrong to me. That gray doesn't sit well with me... So now it's black.

So that should do me for a while. Huang said in the accessories section that he should soon have some metal C8 bodies, so I'll probably jump on that when they become available.

Get in line bitches

How many coats of paint did you use on your furniture? If it was just one, I'd suggest getting another one or two on, otherwise it'll start chipping pretty quick.

And then take pictures...

I put on 3 coats of Kylon Camo OD on the furniture plus 2 coats of flat clear. Ditto for the body, but in Krylon camo black.

Well, I just gave Huang a deposit on his next batch of metal C8 bodies that he should get in the next couple of weeks. Looks like I'll have my C8 sometime very soon and a TM body for sale.

Hey, since I am planning on getting a Ca M15A4 Rifle, to make into a C7A1. What do you guys think of this sight?

It is the cheapest one I have seen and from a Canadian Store no doubt.

Well that's definitely cheaper. Better than a real one at $700-$1000.

No idea about ProArms, but I can get the Guarder Elken (replica, obviously) for $120US plus shipping (about $20) from Redwolf.

I got the Classic Army version, It's a bit different in that it doesn't have the useless rubber backup sights and it has a knob on the side of the scope to select like 12 different illuminations for the crosshairs (6 green, 6 red). Doesn't look as authentic, but I'm not that much of a stickler for 100% accurate detail either. I like illuminated crosshairs and I'll always choose functionality over cosmetic 'authenticity'.

That being said, it looks good, and I'm sure it would work out well. However, they don't have any in stock right now.

It's also not the replica of the C79 which is what the others are. The CA model is a copy of the Elcan in use by the USMC.

Yeah, the M145 or something like that. But like I said, I like functionality over cosmetic accuracy. I ordered a Marui tri-rail today. It's similar in function to the TRIAD, but doesn't look the quite the same. I'm ok with semi-accurate as long as I get the general look I'm going for.
