well about where the battery goes, ive got an academy and the battery goes in a little compartment in the underside of the forstock (right infront of the trogger guard) and as slick said, its fits an 8.4 (which makes it fire just about as fast as a famas) and a 9.6 will fit with a little coaxing, the acadamey is actually a good gun quality wise, it just bloz that it comes with a thin plastic body and a plastic barrel, oh, and the crappy dollar store susat that actually is a "red dot" scope , but i installed a metal barrel and am looking for a metal body and an affordable susat (which is why this is so exciting), aside from that its a sweet gun. I would imagine that stars wont be too different in design, but major difference in quality plastics.

Seems to me that we have plug and play colour coded mechboxes here. For all your gaming conditions. Hope I'm right about this and it's a quick change up.......

Seriously, everyone assumes the plastic is gonna be shitty. But there's some very heavy duty plastics out there that put the pot metal TM uses for its gearboxes to shame (most of the UMP45 is made of plastic; don't try telling me a stock TM gearbox is more solid than a realsteel UMP)
Hell, safety-freakin-helmets are made of plastic. They stand up to abuse that would destroy a mechbox.

I mean there are some really strong plastics out there. My question is how fast is this going to be able to shoot out of the box? and will there be enough upgrades out there to make this thing shoot? Also how reliable is this thing? If something goes wrong will it be easy to fix. I have no doubt in my head that they used the proper plastic to make the gearbox. I mean how big is this company, I dont think they would take the risk of using cheep plastic. Anyways if anyone knows how fast this thing shoots out of the box let me know thanks.
