Yeah I want to run it on my GBBR it's loud already, but with the BL Tech it would be insane.

ASC's navel of the year!
|
Found an interesting video that might highlight why something like the BL Tech would be a very welcomed addition to enhancing milsims.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5cy-O1XQIw Its a milsim in the US and highlights the gameplay through a medic's POV. That aside, if you skip over the initial gameplay and start from, say the 6:15 mark where this squad is having a quick talk about their next plan of action you'll notice something pretty neat happen around the 6:36 mark. While its not a BL tech (I'm guess its some sort of pyro?), the reaction from everyone is definitely something you don't see often when you hear the tell tale "sewing machines" or GBBRs firing at ya. Definitely seems to ramp things up a bit and make things more interesting. |

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?
|
At Mason Relic games, there were these large, mounted, propane powered cannons. They didn't shoot a projectile, but they did what that video showed. Great for ambience.

I should note that it was actually blank firing guns adding to the ambiance in the video. Milsim West in Oregon allowed blank firing guns at the Crimean Crisis milsim (coincidental bit of foreshadowing?) but I expect the BL tech to pretty much do the same.

The BLTECH will also be available in a PEQ box form later on.
I am so buying one for my GBBR.

Did they mention how they actuate? I imagine in an AEG you wire it right in? Pressure switch behind the trigger perhaps?

I had a chat with the B.L. Tech guys at an event this weekend, they gave an update on their device as well as a quick demo. I thought I'd make a video to share.
If you like the video, please click like and subscribe Taranaki Airsoft Rangers - B.L. Tech at Block Wars 3 (Gun Sound Simulator) http://youtu.be/SZYtK1du3uk Duration: 2:41

I'm planted firmly in the middle on this. It would be awesome to play a game where ALL players were equipped with these units, but failing that I have to side with the nay-sayers.
Pretty much a silly vanity unit until you get enough people together to make them mean something. That being said, once you did put a whole bunch of people with these units together, it would make for a pretty sensational experience. Humans are greatly affected by noise, and simulated gunfire could go along way to reduce the "I'm outside your range comfortably so I think I'll just lope through your arc of fire and stare at you" factor. These would even be great as 'props' for vehicle mounted weapons, or an emplacement, or to give to a really ballsy sniper. |

I couldn't hear what the guy was saying (noisy environment, in iPhone at the moment)
Did he explain the fundamental principle behind this? Curious to know how the thing work Also any "kind" if ETA as to when it will be available? I'm with Cliff regarding giving the thing a meaning by having a majority of players using one; but I'd definitely get one just for the Lolz anyways :P assuming it's affordable |

They can't confirm a release as they are going through tests with the NZ Army (who are interested) once they have completed this they will do a consumer version.
It uses propane but they wouldn't give away too much about how it works. There were only two of these at a game of about 50 and you could clearly hear their fire any where on the field (old hospital grounds). Oh, from what I was told later in the day they are working on a PEQ system.
