i don't think the question here was "should I bring my friend to a milsim when he's dressed up like batman and not tell anyone, where he acts like batman in a military-styled operation?"

While it's a silly idea, i think that it could work in very specific settings. there are fun nights where you could do this. zombie games has come up a lot, and it could actually be a lot of fun. other nights where it is appropriate could be imagined as well.

Realistically, though, I don't think Batman would have much of a chance. Plus, the lack of physical contact would be an issue, and I don't much feel like getting hit by a harpoon gun, or a batarang. With proper rules, I could see this being both challenging and fun, as long as the shooters are looking to shoot each other, as well as batman. because really, he'll be able to "catch" one or two people, at most.

it also looks like he's doing pretty good, for "some kid" in a bright shirt and foam sword.. I'm sure that the military styled operation that was obviously being undertaken suffered greatly from his prowess with a "sword"..

It's strange; but the few I've seen at games running around with just a blade, seem to have a unique ability to dodge BBs. I'm not saying all do this, but when you see an individual running around with only a rubber knife, hit calling goes out the window. For an experienced player a knife kill is very difficult to achieve; so that guy bragging he got several in a game, forgot to mention the five thousand rounds he got hit with attempting to get each one.

Another doozie I saw this season was at a very large popular game I was admining at. This guy was running around with just his knife, and ran out in front of several armed players. He was maybe eighty feet or less away from them, and somehow managed to not only cross extremely open ground with no cover not being shot, but managed to get close enough to almost stab one of them. This kind if blatant no hit calling should be met with immediate expulsion. I'd also plaster the individuals profile all over ASC so others would be in the lookout for him.

Remember that when people tolerate this kind of garbage with a soft approach it enevitably hurts the youths coming into this game that wish to take it seriously.

I've been to events that had guys dressed up like navy seals, starship troopers, Vietnam, WWII, future soldier, gears of war, halo, marines, rangers, taliban insurgents, even seen a musket. But all of those at least have something in common. Want a hint? It's war, guns, etc. How on earth does someone get diluted enough to think Batman would fit? It may be interesting in a game designed around that sort of thing, but nowhere else. If he is really a big Batman fan, and wants to add his own personal touch; get him a Batman patch for his loadout.

Wayne Corp makes military suits, weapons & vehicles. The (newest) batsuit is advanced infantry armour. The batmobile is literally a light armoured vehicle. The new iteration of batman is very much militarized. No, batman is not a solider and no I would not advise anyone to just show up dressed like him (especially not to your games) but the original question was what do people think of a scenario game where someone dressed up like that could play?

For the record I want to do this, and I would use a MP7, my loophole being that it fires rubber bat-bullets that knock people out for 5 min (conviently just as long as most respawn time)

I also own a lot of realistic loadouts and like to play the part of solider- I just think it would be fun to switch it up and have something different once and awhile

Lol sorry i was being honest, my friend Ben does want to do this however writing in defense of the idea and looking at the batsuit closer: http://udreplicas.com/templates/udre...ew/TDKR-07.jpg
I really wanna do this now too; however I don't have the moves Ben does (hes a sneaky bastard, but maybe not enough to duck a barrage of bbs) but yah I see how it looks like I was lying
And I haven't lead airsofters into battle yet but maybe after a few more milsim games I'll take you up on that RITZ

Honestly the answer is clear. Your friend is not Batman and is going to have to come to terms with that sooner or later. He is one of those guys from Gotham Imposters, they use guns, so he can too! (That and a glider.)

the suit is cool, but looks weird outside of a movie. Adam wore one in an episode of Mythbusters.

You can't wear it in the daytime and not look silly, airsoft or not. Night game, have him go in as a special character, maybe....

You know what fk it lets milsim with batman, as the military discribes batmen.

Quote:
A batman (or batwoman) is a soldier or airman assigned to a commissioned officer as a personal servant. Before the advent of the automobile, an officer's batman was also in charge of the officer's bathorse that carried the packsaddle with his officer's kit during a campaign.

The term is derived from the obsolete bat, meaning "packsaddle" (from French bât, from Old French bast, from Late Latin bastum) + man.
Duties

A batman's duties often include:
acting as a "runner" to convey orders from the officer to subordinates
maintaining the officer's uniform and personal equipment as a valet
driving the officer's vehicle, sometimes under combat conditions
acting as the officer's bodyguard in combat
other miscellaneous tasks the officer does not have time or inclination to do

The action of serving as a batman was referred to as "batting". In armies where officers typically came from the upper class, it was not unusual for a former batman to follow the officer into later civilian life as a domestic servant.

Why don't you come to a game as one of these?

I'm sure people will be more than happy and probably won't want to wait to shoot at y... I mean, play airsoft with you.
