Yes. They don't require winding and don't rattle.

Thanks! Looks like I'll get some mid-caps.

they are superior in game experience. highcaps are for casual skirmishes for people with no gear and rental guns. :P

Update.

I purchased the VFC VR16 Saber, and long story short I'm returning it. Reason being the inner barrel was rattling like crazy right out of the box. I could see it moving too.

It's unfortunate but I'm back to searching for a gun again.

Not sure what to get now. Looking at the Krytac SPR, G&P TMR series, ICS CXP APE and ICS M4s. Also looking at KWA but I don't know how KWA compares to the other brands.

inner barrel or outer barrel was wobbling?
And krytac, they're really impressive out of the box.

The inner barrel for sure was rattling, pretty bad too. Could see it moving.

Contacted the retailer, shipped it back to them at my expense and they said nothing was wrong with it and cannot replace it. They offered to wrap the barrel with hockey tape to fit better but I don't think that should be required on a brand new gun right out of the box. I am getting a refund but they are charging me an insane restocking fee of 25%. Not too impressed.

FYI most inner barrels typically have 0.5 to 0.2mm of play between the inner and outer barrel on AEG's. My buddy's MK46, I shit you not, had 1.5mm of empty space. It could fit a ptw barrel (10mm OD instead of 8.5mm OD).
They're toys, not professional training weapons lol
It's very typical for people to use teflon tape as a barrel bushing.

Anyway, I'd still go with the krytac, they're really impressive.

The Krytac definitely looks nice. Been looking at G&P and ICS as well. So many guns to choose from.

Yeah trust me, there's no comparing the G&P and ICS to the krytac. As far as I've seen it's one of the best built AEGs out there right now.

Definitely considering it for sure. I like that is has a built in MOSFET as well. The new MK2 version of it is supposed to be released in the summer. From what I've read it appears to be just a cosmetic update with a different receiver, hand grip and trigger. Not sure if it's worth waiting for.

There's no competition.

VFC or Krytac, stop beating around the bush, this threads gone 5 pages deep.

You'll end up with more then one gun, get either or brands now, and get something else later.

Would a 11.1v 25C lipo battery be ok to use in the Krytac? I read a post (on the Krytac forums) saying not to use higher than 15C and the poster even suggested going from 11.1v to 7.4v as you risk burning up the mosfet.

I was planning to use this battery.

Someone earlier in the thread recommended this exact battery but I came across the above information recently so I just wanted to check.

Just wondering about the above, as I haven't seen anything else regarding using 25C batteries.

Anyway I bought a Krytac Trident SPR. The store had to order it in so I'm just waiting for it to arrive now. Getting closer to being able to go out and play airsoft.

That's not how discharge ratings work.
If you can use an 11.1, doesn't matter if it's 25C or 6000C.
If they're telling you to use a lower C rating to choke the amperage going to the motor, then they're fucking retarded because that's how you get your house burned down while charging a lipo. Over-current draw (drawing more current than the lipo can supply) will damage the lipo and potentially set it on fire IN your gun.

If the mosfets shorts out, just get a tougher mosfet.
