2nd attempt USMC woodland MARPAT

Hey guys, thought i better post my pics here instead of the main US thread, seemed the sensible thing to do.

Just finished putting the last touches to my USMC loadout, I know the PASGT is wrong (older type of chin strap) and the boots are Black Hawk Warriors.

(constructive) crticism please!

Bootlaces, bootlaces, bootlaces need to be tucked in. This seems to be an annoying oversight common amongst airsofters. Police those sideburns too. They don't look good with the garrison cap.

Is that issue MarPat?

I don't think Marines use/pack out quite so much molle pouches - as well they use OTV's or MTV armor rather than chest rigs.

I believe the USMC are running the MICH 2000, however there's still a lot of pics of them using the older Rhino NVG mounts. Those are easy to get on eBay.

Cheers for the feedback, I had no idea about the bootlaces, will remember in future (will also trim the side burns)

It is not a chest rig! (it probably just looks like it because it hangs over my beer belly), its a MOLLE FSBE Armour Carrier Vest.

The pics I have seen (especially with that recent Philippines excercise: see the below pics) the Marines are usually crawling with molle pouches.

The MARPAT is from Bulle, and not official, but seems to be the right cut (the knees have inserts for foam padding, which are in the photos).

The helmet cover is official (the official cover is the only one that can actually physically cover my XL PASGT Kevlar) and has the Desert MARPAT on the reverse.

USMC are running the LWH, its just the same pattern as the PASG, but with an updated material to make it just as light as a MICH, but have more protection.

I would toss on a Rhino mount onto the helmet as well as maybe rethink the layout of your BA. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but I would probably end up changing it to ether a IBA/MTV/Spartan I or II or a SPC.

Unfortunately the vest in the pic was the best I could get as a match at the time (bought last year) and it was expensive too, so i am afraid it stays.

Its not too far off in likeness to the ones the Marines use, but as you say, there is something... "off" about it when you compare.

The Rhino plate is a damn good idea though, will certainly get one of them.

Wow this thread has been pretty quite lately so... i figured i could spice it up a little. Here are some pics of my Pantac MTV (Christmas Present) enjoy:

Note: the grey stuff inside the vest is just some closed cell foam I put in to replicate soft armor.
