I thought I share what I did today.. Have you noticed the o-rings shredding or breaking underneath the screws for the magazine? The o-rings are very hard to find, since they are small. I checked Crappy Tire, Home Depot and Home Hardware and no one has the exact o-ring size.. I went to the dollar store, and I found these donut shaped nubs as part of an eyewear set... Here is a picture of the nubs on the right:

Notice how the original o-rings (left) shred and tear easily, esp when compressed by the screws.. the nubs (right) are MUCH better, more sturdy.

I slightly sanded the outer diameter of the nubs with a dremel so that each nub is exactly has the same dimensions and fits perfectly into the holes on the backplate. Notice how the nubs are cylindrical and form a better seal as opposed to the o-rings which are shaped like a donut. Also, the nubs are firmer so it doesnt deform easily under pressure for the screws. The nubs are snug in the slots of the backplate, and can be compressed by the screw to form an airtight seal.

I think this is a better alternative then buying them from airsoftbuddy which the shipping will kill u. I paid $1.50 for 4 of these nubs which were part of an eyewear set.

If any roll pin is too loose...you can put a nail into one end...put it on something hard (i.e. metal plate, manhole cover) and give it a whack with a hammer. Not too much. If you're putting a flared pin back in...becareful not to overstress the receiver part around the pin, it won't take much force to crack it.

Or machine a pin with a better fit (or ridges on one end to stay put)

Try airsoft buddy for parts....they seem to have everything itemized...or Velocity Arms, they may have spare parts on hand or a couple of M4's they've gutted for misc parts (they're in country and good guys).

you should add a metal washer on top of those nubs before the screw. That way you can tighten the screw without damaging the nubs. I do this to my gbb mags.

I'm wondering if the lock nut thing that the collapsible LE stock can be tightened? Looks to me like the nut has been pinned. Mine is locked so that it actually is allowing the lever to wobble and clank around.

hitting my pin lightly deffinately worked for holding it in. however while ive been cleaning and relubing my parts ive started to get a little bit of a stick in my bolt carrier, when my bolt carrier gets so far and starts to pull the nozzle it sticks. not sure if i havent added enough silicone or too much or something else. so anyone whos experienced it let me know how you fixed it.

Hi all !
I'm about to buy a WE M16, since this will be my first GBB, I would like to have your suggestions for a RIS rail, or a DD rail, the same length as the m16's foregrip !

Thanks !

Oh snap!

Part 027 just split on my SCAR after installing the Open Blow NPAS valve...

I guess I'll order enough to last a while.

Hey Everyone Quick question,

I am planning on purchasing a WE M4, I'd like to know what parts tend to need to be replaced or cause issues so that I can stock up on some spares when I purchase one. Other than the upgraded steel ones and the NPAS, as I plan on buying them right of the bat. I did a quick search and read through this entire thread and found very little, I hope I didnt miss anything.

Thanks

Not trying to be a douche but, read again every part that has given trouble or worn out quickly, what needs to be lock tightened, what needs to be lubed etc etc. Was mentioned in this thread.

a quick search of this thread never hurt anyone too, any ideas for sticky bolts even after lubing?
