August is still hot. Lately it's been +40 celcius with the humidity rating. But when september rolls in, it's going to get cool, and then eventually snow by mid october. It can go from +40c to -40c in a few months.

That blows, lately we've been lucky to get snow by november... its pathetic really.
For those who have not recieved their parts yet.... I just recieved a call from my post office saying that they are being held in customs until further notice. So Im awaiting another call here soon to figure out why customs is holding. I do know that Importing a GBBR is now banned from the US due to trigger groupings, but have no Idea why my part would be held from going out. Hey guys,
my scar went very well with deadly's part. the plastic hinge will break soon but i already have spare tsc part. the shots went well with heavy recoil and loud firing sound. after my second mag, the bolt got stuck at the hammer. so i will have to cock it halfway. is anyone having the same problem? |

I just got my part. Now, the following has NOTHING of personal; it's exclusively from a consumer point of view, and only in regards to the product.
The workmanship is very very bad (as you can see in the pictures), with zero attention to detail, and it's not even functional, I pretty much damaged my SCAR and the top allen screw trying to force it in, but the threaded hole is way off (as seen on a picture as well, you can see the damaged aluminum on the part from me trying, and how it's about 2mms off). I was very dissappointed to see you didn't really bother in giving it a thorough finish, and all the mill/CNC tool paths can be seen (in some cases felt with your fingernail), so it lacks any kind of polished/fine finish; it really falls short in comparison of the original part, at least in matters of how it's machined, the only advantage being the material. Also, my scope was heavily sighted in, and I had to remove it to try to force this thing in, so you can imagine how happy this whole event has made me. I don't know, I wish I could fit it, but I have to go back and put the original part in. Despite my frustration with it, I have no choice, and I would need a part that actually works. I understand my "review" is very harsh, but I really hope you can use this to improve your work and offer a better product in the future. It's also natural that you might want to just say "well **** this guy, he doesn't like the part, I'll just give him his money back.", but as I said I don't have a lot of options, and in the same manner as the TSC part was my only alternative, it'd be cool if you could send me a viable part as soon as you're able. Regards, Fox. Last edited by Fox62; August 2nd, 2011 at 19:46.. |

ooh that sucks. Mine hasn't arrived yet. I'm pretty sure it's stuck in customs or something. Hey fox, if mine is like yours, I am going to drill the hole a little bigger, and get a small bolt and nut and stick it through. You would lose your quick take down, but at least you wouldn't have to worry about it breaking.
dwinandabp- check your hammer is it damaged? Does the bolt slide back and forth easily when the lower receiver is taken out?

Oh of course. I believe deadly will sort this out for you. No problem. But until he does, you could use that as a temporary solution I guess. Your stock part is only good for keeping the gun together as a wallhanger, not much else. 2 mm is a huge error. Since others didn't have as bad of a product, you may have just got a dud, that deadly overlooked.

I haven't put mine in yet but, I Kinda like the machined feel/look, Fox could your Scar be an older Generation? I don't know what they have changed form generation to generation. ( just tested the top screw works for mine.)

it only stuck with the nozzle out when I try to cock it, but when it shoots it didn't. unlike Fox's Scar, my open bolt doesn't have the rubber on the recoil spring. can you send me pictures what does it look like? perhaps that's a minor upgrade from WE. |

SHE LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank deadlydayne for coming through on his promise. It took 5 months but by golly he did it. Like fox I had an issue with the top thread. It was 1 mil out. I had to use a cylindrical jeweler file to widen the hole on the gun. Once the screw fit in, you couldn't tell that there was any modification done. I have noticed that deadly's part 27 doesn't sit snugly with the tsc 66. There is a good 1/8 inch of play up and down, and a millimeter or play in on the sides. I am trying to find a way to eliminate this. I have been able to reduce the wiggle using electrical tape and foam, but it is still a jiggle fest. This is still a cosmetic issue that can be found with the stock 27 and the tsc as well. I haven't fired the gun yet cause it's loud and it's late. It needs a good cleaning first anyway.

Sorry boys havent been on the forum. FOX send me an email immediately, I will be happy to replace. As I have mentioned before, and most people seem to believe that just because the screw is chamfered, that it will indicate based on hole position. ITS NOT TRUE, you must put the top screw in first, (*DONT TIGHTEN IT JUST GET THREADS STARTED*) then put in the 4 side screws. After all screws are in then tighten them. should go in perfect. Also as mentioned before no 2 guns are the same. The top hole may have been 2mm off for you, but for me it was center of the hole on my upper. Everyone's gun is different and no ones is an exception. The finished is supposed to be a machine finish. It acutally shows proof that it was CNC milled. Im not going to remove all toolpaths just 'cuz. They were left there for the Raw aluminum ones for people to paint. Theres no need to polish or "Brighten" any of them. I will show you a whole line of parts that we make and all have the toolpaths same way. It was also left a tad rough because I knew that TSC claimed "CNC" on there part 66, which was very sloppy on tolerance as many of you have proven. Their slot milling on the 66 varies greatly and I wanted my part as tight as possible so your stock wouldnt be sliding all over the place on you. Ha and you think I made a great profit? I can rack the numbers out for you.... I make a $5 profit on these, and thats at $55/hour of machine time. You go to anyother machine shop and they ask $100/hour off the bat. So profit yes, great profit: not even close. But like I said, PM me, I will send you another today and you can send the one back. Im sorry the one did not meet your expectations. They seemed to have a great finish, look, feel and operation to everyone else who has bought them. So I again apologize.
So yours finally came in Ross? Last edited by deadlydayne; August 4th, 2011 at 08:45.. |

I don't see why the machine marks would be such a big deal, when the gun is 100% assembled you won't see much of it anyway other than the sling points!
