I look at the issue like this.
Bunch of nubs with crap guns running around the field in a disorganized fashion wearing jeans and t-shirts? They look like this to me: Stop being scared of the influx of nubs with crap guns and gear. Keep owning them to hell and back on the field and they'll eventually figure out that you cannot compete with crap equipment.

I agree with you, Brian. Training sessions and indoctrination sounds great for the new players. If these new players would like to take it to the next level, they should only be allowed to play in the field with the Pros if they are willing to conform with the rules and suggestions set by the community.

I disagree Janus got a bud at defcon that showed 4 other players that its not the gun but the player, he was using a crosman AKU and that thing was dropped that night twice yet, he scored some headshots and a bag a kills, New weapon doesn't necessarily noob player.

players are segregated already. Older players don't see their commitment, which leads to them not trusting their safe.

I know im probably considered one of the "damn kids" but anyways, I've always thought that for AVing, instead of just asking for your ID and off you go, there should be some sort of process, so the people who arent really serious about it get weeded out, and if they do go through with it, the AVer can get to know the character a bit more, and judge whether the person is mature enough to play or not.
Clear guns are not the problem, I started with walmart and krakens and I'm honestly glad I did, because it gave me a cheap entry level gun, AND it gave me a cheap gun I could rip apart and see how everything worked, on the other hand, starting on my own away from ASC gave me many bad habits, mainly finger on the trigger, and a general lack of the safety precautions that many other players take, hell, half the time i dont even remember to put my pistol on safe there was some other stuff I was going to say in this, but I forgot what it was, I'll say it later if I remember what it was. |

Intentionally shooting at someone's head increases the chance of inflicting injury and therefore is stupid. If either you (or he) thinks this is a badge of honor or qualifies you as a "non-noob", you're both out to lunch. Stay the hell away from me on the field.

Its not a badge, But a lot of times that is the only thing we can hit, headshots happen but what im meant to say is the gun has almost nothing to do with the player. Don't we root out all the unsafe players anyhow, like those who dry fire and bullshit, There cant be that many of em to bum teh pro players out.

Trigger control is something people use very little of. If you don't want to receive such a shot then don't inflict it on someone. Airsoft isn't a video game where you gain rank from "kills". You'll gain more respect from players by not injuring them.

Why don't people enforce no headshots at all than, if so many people hate it so much why does'nt that become a rule at games? Im pretty sure the people that took the headshots on me had no idea they were goin for my head perhaps bad hop up or something. When i get shot in the face should i be angry?
