I think not calling some hits is a recurring problem, specially if they are really light hits when you are walking through brush woods.
"Was that a twig?"
Most of us are probably guilty of that one, when we have to wonder...
We eventually learn to accept anything as a possible hit. Heck, it's a game.

Hey, NiMH batteries have come a long way in the past couple of years... Me and a teammate's NiMH batteries were working MUCH better during a -15C game than most of the group's NiCad batteries, i.e. there was NO noticeable effect on run time or ROF due to the cold. NiCads in general were running MUCH slower, and many people had to switch halfway through the day.

That's a big peeve of mine.

Other than that I don't have many huge peeves for new players because they eventually learn, and most of the ones i've encountered weren't that bad. Most of the mistakes they make will be corrected within a few games anyway.

I'm not a noob by most means, but I do have simple gear. My kit isn't all that expensive, i've got a cheap vest and few mags, woodland jacket/pants,boots, my AEG, and a cheap side arm, the basics. That's all i've got, but I find I enjoy it as much as all those folks who go full out with their kits.

Wearing orange shirts and mirrored aviator glasses on a warm sunny day ... oh and giggling incessantly just before you shoot someone.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this. I do it before, during, and after I shoot someone.

Well, to be absolutely honest with you, I too giggle almost the entire time I play airsoft, especially while stalking someone. It is just so hard not too.

Sprinting through rooms in CQC yelling "mercy! mercy! mercy!". Annoying to no end.

In large outdoor games, I already saw newbs run as far as they can and hide so they last the longest possible without getting hit...soon to realize that time has passed and the game is probably over, as well as being lost

I guess that people are a bit forgiving with new guys though, which is nice! Just make sure you clean up your act if you decide to play again (although the nervousness goes away pretty fast).

First (and so far only) game at PBN, I'm not 100% confident I called all my hits... Arg. Def. Streamlining the gear next time. Like, super-streamlining. 1 triple drop plus one in the gun (and two for piston on belt plus loaded pistol), and that's it.

And oh. A fucking SLING.

damage: I dunno man, I did the rambo thing, kept the whole other team down for a good two to three minutes... And I was in the wide on top of that.

Uh oh... perhaps you didn't notice this but you are fueling everyone's inner compulsive gambler. ASC has combined 2 expensive and addictive elements into the ultimate vice: gambling for airsoft.

I'll get some chairs in a circle, put on some coffee, and register the support group; I'll need to get a head start on this epidemic.

well had my first game on the 4 (stargate game) and to name a few of my mistakes:
-Shooting with my barrel plug still on
-not having a sling when im holding my gun a good couple of hours. when i wanted to do anything i had to put my gun down.
-tho i had amazing antifog goggles my left spectacle lens was always fogged up. Ill get contacts under v82slo's suggestion.
-gun kept jamming think its a problem with my hicaps :hammer:

ya total noob, i cant wait to bring him to a sanctioned game and let the dogs have at him cuz he wont listen to the rest of the team, esspecially about calling hits.
