If your trying to make a point in terms of my zeal vs nooblord. This is not an Isolated Incident.

The reason why I have such a serious issue with him is cause he Continues to give bad advice, advice that have detremental and harmful effects. The victims here are the new players who get screwed over by him, and what has been frustrating me is how it happens AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN.

Im not perfect either by any means. I cant fix everything that is put in my hands and there are times when sometimes I have to step away and let another pair of eyes look at it. This is why we HAVE the gundoc community, we turn to each other for support. BUT the key difference is that I will not tell someone to do something if I have no idea what im doing, and unlike TNL, I will admit when I cant figure it out. Theres nothing wrong with saying "I dont know."

My biggest beef with TNL is his attitude. His authoritative attitude and his abuse of this self earned title (As posted by the OP) saying "Im a Gundoc" which is why you should buy my shit, is something you will never hear one of us say. And while I may be one of the most Vocal Gundocs out there, This is not a feeling that is held by just myself, but rather the collective feeling from all the local docs and the overall community.

It wouldnt be soo bad for him if he dropped the attitude and his whole "Everyone fuck off, im a gundoc, my shit is king" shpeel such as his "challenge" to Riley last week and his incessant need to give bad detremental advice. He doesnt know what hes doing, and untill such time in which he learns, he should not be passing himself as an authority figure or expert in that matter.

bottom line is mistakes happen as we are all human but this is what the feedback system is for.

If you have an issues people should contact the person as soon as possible to try and resolve it and then leave feedback accordingly.

Not taking anything away from the feedback option the way it is but maybe this is something that should be looked at for upgrades.

On some forums I am on the system works like this....

Once a buyer and seller agree on a deal the seller sends the buyer (or vise versa) a "transaction request" with all the details that have been worked out for said item.

The other party would then need to accept it, modify and reply or deny it.

After payment is made the seller would then reply to the transaction with shipping info and be prompted to leave feedback (or transaction would stay open on there end)

In turn the buyer would reply with product details and also be prompted to leave feedback or send seller a comment in the event there is a dispute. Transaction would stay open on buyers end until everything is worked out and feedback is left.

this has worked well on many sites I have used for many hobbies and its just a matter of scripting.

just a though as it seems more and more deals are popping up as bad yet no one said anything or left feedback

Well, from a third party view, I'd say the odds of Dark intentionally ripping someone off is next to nil. I've had several dealings with him now, and he's on the level. Not only that, he takes pride in his work, and he understands his limitations. Now, as for nooblord, I've never had any dealings with you, but I've seen several threads now where renowned gundocs have criticized your techniques. Now, I'm not a gun doc, or even an expert in any way, but I've definitely seen at least one case where you told someone having trouble with a part to simply cut it off and forget about it. It doesn't take a genius to see that this isn't a good idea.

Maybe you're not intentionally doing it, but I guess some people are finding your methods unsatisfactory. Or maybe you've been wrongly accused. If you feel you have been, you better pony up the evidence, otherwise your reputation is going down the tank. This is a community that values the reputation of it's members, so your reputation should be important to you, if you value your position as a gun repairing professional. Otherwise, you wouldn't simply accuse other people of misrepresenting you.

If you do in fact release that your repair skills are not up to par, I think you'll gain much more respect if you simply own up to it, and learn from your more experienced peers.

I know I've seen something you had on sale in the classifieds, and didn't buy it because of your reputation, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. This isn't a personal attack on you in any way, just how I've seen this situation develop over the last several months, and multiple threads.

Thread concluded.

I gave up on the semi issue (it seems to be parts compatibility) and I'm mailing it back.

TNL accepts.

You really should read what people say -- Learn from your mistakes and don't be afraid to say "I don't know."

Ill try and get pictures of that "wicked awsome KJW Hicapa thats better than TM's" that exploded after less than 1h of use. Id love to show the community how "good" you are at building and maintaining guns.

Thus Proving my point. I could bring up many other examples, but that would be stirring up shit from the past, which, while it shows a better understanding of his "Character", ultimately is not related to the issue at hand. The issue at hand is "product" hes selling to the public and his "services" he is doing to other people's guns.

Ironically while I have valid cause to be zelous about this issue, TNL has been unable to provide anything other than personal attacks and namecalling.

Kid, im glad you got a resolution you are happy with. Many others did not, and unfortunately have too much of a passive personality to stand up for themselves.

if we did that, I'd probably just replace my hammer/sear and put an aftermarket hopup in, then i'd be good to go ^^

I was going to reshim my MP44's mechbox because there was a little too much play in my original shim job for my liking, but i ran out of fat shims, forgot to buy more last time i made a parts run, and i dont feel like using like 5 .001mm shims instead of few thicker ones... so I cant really show off this gun either

So basically to all ; Buyer Beware, and ask for referances for gun doc work.

Okay, sick of reading this crap; I've had to fix guns that fell victim to "shoddy gun doctoring" and I think they were probably all in much better shape than even TNL's best work.

Thenooblord, effective immediately: cease any and all claims pertaining to be a gun doc. Your name has been removed from the list of gun docs as well as gundoc references from your profile.

If you want to tinker around in your guns or your friends' that's your business/their problem, but you will cease using ASC as a vehicle to promote yourself as a competent gun doc. I also strongly recommend refraining from offering "advice" in the Doc Corner, lest I need change your user tag to something much more obvious and MUCH less comedic.

This decision is final and NOT open to discussion.

Man this thread needs a medic...

I did a barrel upgrade to an M16A3 with a rock once at a Salamader Army Kingston game. Pics are out there somewhere too.

Sorry I couldn't resist...
