I've been working on this for a while and it's my first custom pistol, and the concept is what an 80s movie might make a glock look like if it was a sic-fi film. So here are some of the completed images.
WE G18C with Custom Painted Slide Big props to Connor Ferrigan from OttawaValleyAirsoft.ca who did the custom paint work on the slide and outer barrel. It was stripped of its paint, and polished, then the top and sides had black reapplied to them. Top notch work. Parts List: WE G18C Real steel ranger plates SAI Trigger Pachmayr rubber grip Guns Modify Slide take down lever Guns modify extended slide release AIP stainless recoil rod and bearing spring Angel Custom 6.01 TB with TM Bucking UAC Fiber Sights (custom modified to fit WE) with UAC Red Fiber Modified blowback housing return spring Additionally I might get a magwell extension and the 5KU strike face to make it a bit more futuristic. Will update photos if I do. Cheers! |

I own mostly 1911 (TM and KJW) and want to get my first Glock 17. I don't want junk.
What are my choices? BioRage suggested: Get a TM G17C with tinted lower if you plan on going upgrade route. Can buy cheap, and upgrade based on it. DuffMan suggested: Best for performance? Or....? if you're talking about straight up performance, not feel, TM. All the way. KSC in 2nd. Last edited by SuperHog; December 2nd, 2014 at 00:31.. Reason: Want a best out of the box Glock 17 |

Why tinted? Why not black to save upgrade costs?
KSC was considered. Is it 100% TM compatible with parts? |

They were 25% off on grand opening day and black Friday, I'm sure it may appear again during Xmas time. I'm telling you to get the tinted because it's cheaper, and use it till it breaks, then you can slowly upgrade. The frame you can add a Guarder or HK3P lower, whatever suits you. You could even paint the tinted lower. Though running a stock TM G17 with propane lasts a while before it breaks, haha... so good luck trying to break it! :P |

KSC runs a completely different system.

But those tinted plastic frames are pure garbage. If you don't mind having some stuff breaking (mainly the front screw post) then you'll be ok. It'll take maybe 100rds on propane...if you're lucky. Having that post break can have negative effects. But sometimes you won't even notice it. Ultimately it is a preference between a pre-rigged metal slide Glock or an all plastic one for upgrades and beatifulness at the end....

Tinted lower ones are cheaper, and they will crack in due time, at that time, you can invest your money into a Guarder lower, which will set you for a life time. You could buy a USED TM G17 and work off of it, or save the trouble and buy new. Benefits of the Normal TM G17, is they come with Glow-in-the-dark Front & Rear Sights, if you don't care for them, and plan on getting different night sights later down the road. The tinted lower is your cheapest bet to start on a base platform, but that's how I see it. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. |

Again tinted is fine. If it lasts, even better.
I really hope is last more than 100 bb's I won't buy used, because from previous experience, seen to many abused guns. I never sell my stuff because I take good care of them. |

Google what a lightguard is. It isn't a laser. I have the silverback, and the LIGHTguard.
