Only 1 seized? Yeah right. Think about this; Some Phenom 555 chips are just crippled X4 955 "Deneb" chips. How many people do you hear of saying their chip doesn't unlock to 4 cores vs how many say they've had success. The results are simply skewed. Also because they've had seizures by the CBSA then what they're doing isn't entirely legal either sooooo......

So I guess you have to wait a bit more for me to become your target dummy in the field. :infantry:
Good to hear, a tip is to not buy useless stuff you probably don't need or will use. Just start with the basics and hopefully see if you can get someone to be a "mentor". When I started it was with a set of BDU's and a gun, I borrowed my safety goggles and vest. That being said it's better to be prepared so things that I definitely recommend are; good eyewear, good boots (hiking or military your choice, I use hiking boots with a composite toe and steel shank down the sole), BDU's, and maybe a vest/chestrig (but that can come later). No need for a fancy pistol holster and GBB pistol or a fancy flashlight and whatever other accessories you can get your hands on just start with the basics.

My name is David aka Reign. Im 22 living in Winnipeg. I have 2 kids and a money sink er... wife. I did my service to the country in Mountain Warfare and long range tactical combat. For you non-military that means i spent 2 years hauling my sniper rifle and my m16 up and down mountains and hills and shooting things that are extremely far away. Im a chef at The Keg downtown here. thats about it really.

Hey, I'm from Ottawa. I'm just looking into the sport of airsoft and I'm canadian so these forums would seem to fit my information needs quite nicely. Working on the age verification so that I can begin looking into / committing to the sport. I'm looking forward to it.

Hi There I'm Eric and I'm 20. I'm from toronto ontario, and I'm trying to get more involved in airsoft as I really don't enjoy the horrible paint mess from paintball as much as I used too.

however, I'm not sure where to start, i know nothing of airsoft, or of any locations in the GTA. so if someone could help me out.. that'd be major

Hello all, My names Joe Behse, I've been airsofting with a small group of buddies for awhile, but I recently moved to Victoria BC and have had to expand my airsoft world, So instead of just browsing through these awesome forums and absorbing knowledge like I sponge I guess I should pull my head out of the sand and say hello, so hello. I look forward to meeting the local players in and around Victoria and sharing some great games

Hello,

Name is Dan and have only been involved in Airsoft since the summer of 2010. Hooked up with Mr. evolution and got my AV as soon as I joined. I'm a 36 year old Phone Sytems Adminsitrator. I play at a local field with a great group of guys and the odd gal that comes out once in awhile.

Learning all the lingo and search the forums the best I can, so as not to annoy the masses here in the forums. Is it normal to be in your loadout when surfing the threads on the ASC forums? LOL.

Cheers everyone, I hope you're all as patient with me as you have been with others on the forum.

Good to hear, there's TTAC3 that BrianM runs and that's supposedly a good place for indoor CQB. Take a look at the Games/Events section for Ontario. There are "newbie days" but pretty much every game is a "newbie day" even if they don't explicitly state it (but ask first, also ask if there will be an AV rep on the field and try to secure a private rental beforehand).

The people you'll likely want to hook up with are SIR (South Island Rangers), I don't exactly know where they play but I think it's a little ways out from the city. They operate out of the BC Airsoft Club website: http://www.bcairsoft.com/

PS: Are you in university or something (at UVic?)? No reason, you don't have to answer if you don't want to I was just wondering.

Hey L473ncy,

Yea I've been trying to track down SIR (As far I know they play at the Victoria Fish and Game located at the Malahat shooting range, which is awesome considering I'm up there all the time anyways and its only like 15 minutes away.) There's also CIA and one other group in this area (Can't remember their name off the top of my head). I'm kind of in limbo right now, just waiting for my new rifle so I haven't made any formal inquires as to game dates though there looks like there's a couple coming up in Oct.

I came to Victoria for alittle change of scenery and to find work though my girlfriend is at UVIC. And no worries about the questions I don't mind answering at all. You ever play in the Victoria area?

Hey all,
Just getting into the sport here and waiting to get a gun in the next month or 2.
Bit of a mil-sim geek, used to be in the Canadian Honour Guards clan for America's Army (FPS online) and played paintball for the last 5-6 years and been organizing larger scenario games (full day, 150-200 people) for 4 years now.

All that time to realize this is where I should have started... 8O
I got into paintball and tried working with a number of teams because I wanted to play a strict, disciplined tactical game rather than a "cowboys and indians" free for all.

Looking for other players in the North Halton/Wellington/Guelph KW-W area.
I'm working with my local paintball field to allow airsofters in, I have access to a private field as well.

(waiting for my age verification to be applied, site was down the other day DOB 1971)
