Well Conker that helmet is pure sex. Arguably one of the most attractive helmets I've seen in my opinion

Here's a old-ish MICH I have kicking around. I don't game it as it appears I have a big head and the helmet is too small. Base tan paint, Tamiya model paint for the Punisher skull.
Anyone interested it is for sale. |

Ops Core Base Jump Multi-cam (bought used of a member here) 2 callsign matches in multi-cam (Taliban Milan's handiwork.) All in all an excellent start to what I hope to make into an excellent helmet. |

Hey Conker, how did you get rid of the Moulded NVG mount on your FAST lid? And did you just epoxy and sand the holes?

I cant answer for Conker, but I know that a lot of people dremmel it off, and then fill in the holes with welders putty. Then they sand the exess of and paint it. I dont remember if the how-to guide was in this thead or somewhere else on the internet (maybe gearsoc).

It's pretty much clean the helmet surface with spray9 or something to remove residue and oils, ensure you don't touch the surface afterwards, refrain from paper towel or something that will leave off lint. Hold the spray can about 10-12 inches away and dust it Ie sweeping sprays. Press the nozzle as you sweep and release. If you hold it in it will cake on and if your too close it will run. Don't worry about covering it all in one go. Dust on 2-3 layers it take a minute or two to dry between layers

Thanks, I just wanted to know if there was some magic trick I might not have thought of.
I have a replica of the FAST base jump, so I'm kind of stuck with it for now.

@koxdipy You've got the wrong type of cover....the one that's meant for the current generation LWH's with the padding have full velcro strips (similar to a MICH cover) while yours was meant to be wrapped around the headband of the old PASGT and original LWH design. You can make it work but you gotta buy some velcro, attach it to the straps and place it on the velcro (the pad goes over the velcro).
