Currently debating what "Blaster", as you guys put it, to get. I know SEALs don't really use the 416 but i like it so damn much that it's either a 416 with CTR stock and a Surefire Silencer or something like this but with a Surefire based of a KA M4A1 that i can get for cheap. Opinions?

Actually, SEALs do use the 416... it's the fabled gun that ended bin Laden.

I read that... But I don't think it's been proven. So a 416 wouldn't be a bad choice... Having money and choices is so bad for me... LOL

Either a 416 or a block 2 set up is accurate both ways. You will probably spend more on a block 2 setup than a 416.

Actually, it has been proven (SEALs using 416 that is... not as the Osama killshot.) Cruise Militaryphotos.net for a bit, and you'll see some guys carrying the 416.

Yeah i will. And i know for a fact that the VFC 416 is a great gun :P So for now I guess I'll go that route and see where it leads me :P Gonna make a nice christmas present for myself :P

It's very proven that seals use 416...

There are many pics out there with 416. Also, KAC silencer, AAC M4 2000, and Surefire silencer. I haven't seen Magpul rail covers, and ASAP plate. No stubby grip, must be spring prong locking version and not QR.

I've seen a few pix with Magpul rail ladders. Here's a great article that I think a few of your guys would grow major woodies over: http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/...63#/44b45963/4 and yes, the 416 is in that list as one of their primary arms. |

So, I just got me an MP7 (KWA/Umarex), and I've seen from pictures on this thread (and from Wikipedia ) that the SEALs use it. What I'm wondering is, HOW do they use it? And by that I mean, in what role? Is it considered a sidearm? For CQB? If I'm carrying an M4, would I use an MP7 as well, or would it be backup for something heavier, like an EBR or Mk17? And if I carry it along with a rifle, would I still have a Sig on my hip/thigh? I'm curious...

While this was a MARSOC marine who told me that, it might give you a start:

Note that the Mk17 is a battle rifle, so no need for a full auto secondary at all. Actually, I've never seen a full auto secondary on anyone other than actual snipers (with bolt actions or large semi-autos such as the Barret). Don't expect anything more than a pistol as a secondary to an Mk17 or EBR.

and it's just an all around better rifle for cqb environments compared to the 416.
Like seals are dropping in with helicopter so they are right at the village or buildings they are dealing with in a stan so they don't need the long range. Most the team will roll MP7's while the DMR like scar etc. 5 out of 7 have mp7
