More questions!
Would it be possible to break down the setup into individually less expensive components, like for example, just the GPS transceiver without the camera or HMD, but with the option to buy those later? I bet that would make the system an easier sell for cheapos like me Relaying orders to people marked on GPS with radios and compasses wouldn't be as fast or as cool as through waypoints on an HMD, but how much less expensive could it be?

For the love of God PLEASE do not do the PLGR. It's a PITA big brick that's been replaced by the vastly superior DAGR. A PRC-117 would be sweet but I'm not holding my breath.

In china, there's a chance they can get their hands on a real plgr to copy. Not so much with the dagr.

is the range the absolute max, or is it the point where stability starts going down? and is it possible to increase the range?

The Land Warrior a cool peice of technology(in real life) but totally useless for Air Soft. The clone seems pretty gimmicky and costly.

Complete set. The price could be lower than expected.
PVS-14 is available soon, it is a 3x magnifier. But for the price, I would wait. |

I would love to see a cheap unit that is just the GPS to allow commanders to have even squad leaders broadcasting their location.
Trying to track all the squads was horrendous out at Claybank. Oborous |

Guys, I wouldn't keep your hopes up for night vision. Even if they could make clone nvgs, they wouldn't likely be up gen3-4, and probably wouldn't be that much cheaper then the commercial stuff thats already out there.
Why not focus on other things that the factory has already shown they able to make. As it was suggested, GPS, manpack radios (eg: prc-117, sincgars, etc), or smaller radios (eg: PRR). I would pay good money to have high quality PRR, PRC-117, PLGR/DAGR, etc clones, and I don't even play anymore. As for the gps tracking thing, that's already avaliable in the form of the garmin rino, and they're not that expensive anymore, especially on ebay. Anything the factory could turn out along those lines probably wouldn't have anymore bells and whistles then the rino. |
