Wait until you are 18, play a few real airsoft games, then you can offer advice.

My hands can attest that sniping is long and painfull...
I think I got over 20 stings on each hand, because I stayed immobile in a swap for a good 30 minutes... If you are willing to accept that kind of treatment, simply to get one kill and complete an objective (and get sprayed right after), then maybe sniping is for you. By the way, I only had my hicapa as weapon. I consider that this is still fitting in the "sniping/scout" game style. The gun you use does not matter. If you want to snipe, get a good, reliable AEG. Just crawl/infiltrate the same way. If you don't like it, you are not stuck with a BA rifle. And if things get hot, you have auto. |

YOU HAVE NO EXPERIANCES of being a sniper. No mater how good you think you can shoot, it's worth nothing if you never used those "skills" in a game as a sniper. Stop pretending, because if you make it to a field one day, we'll remember you and it won't be pretty. As in constant humiliation and sarcasme will be on you all day.

Just wondering, do most snipers wear ghillie suits in woodland areas or just green camo?

Guys I got an L96, but I was wondering if there is a place to get a non-plastic body for it?
And yes I signed up JUST to ask this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Well you could mod a real steel if you can find one, or mod a wooden rifle stock or make your own.
If your creative you could take your existing body and create a mold for it. Then using an aluminum frame inside the mold add autobody filler or some form of moldable pliable polymer, let her set sand and hollow out to your needs. Its alot of work if you ask me. Perhaps someone else can add a little more.

Doesn't the real AIAW (L96) have a composite body?

It is an aluminium frame with a composite body screwd over it.
The RS is plastic buddy... you will have a hard time finding a metal body for that... Ask Candyman... I am sure he can build you something... lol |

There's always something I loved in that line... "The real steel is plastic" lol.

Personally, I can't wait to try sniping in airsoft. I've been using AEGs for almost two years now and I'm ready for a new kind of gameplay.
I'm building my own ghillie and have bought a WELL L96 as a starting rifle. I obviously intend to upgrade it if I find sniping fun. Personally, I think I'm going to enjoy the challenge. Hopefully, I can avoid the insect stings Kos-Mos was talking about :P |
