Just ordered a pair of those ESS Land Ops in OD myself. They looks like good goggles for the price.

For those that wear prescription glasses (like I used to. Now i wear contacts all day.) I'd recommend getting some contacts. Contacts come in the same prescriptions as glasses, (even if you wear fuckin' thick glasses) but there's no glass's frame to get in your way. The first few weeks/months will be awkward, but you'll get over it. I recommend the all day/night 30-day contacts.

Anyways, it was just a suggestion. (Sorry if it's off-topic, just wanted to let people know..)

Inade, how do the all day/night 30-day contacts work and where can i get them?

I've tried to use the regular contacts, but i couldn't stand them. It was just horrible to put the contacts on every morning and every single dust on the lens drove me nuts.
It's been pretty much over 6 years since i tried to wear contact so i am very interested if they have come out with something better
thanks

Well, they're generally more breathable, (so you can wear them for longer periods of time without taking them out to rinse/clean them) and more flexible, (less noticeable on your eyes than regular ones which are normally thicker) but they are pretty expensive. I buy a year's supply of solution and contacts for about 300$. That's about 12 pairs of contacts, so 24 contacts in total, plus all the solution you should be using. Anyways, the first week i had contacts i wore them non-stop so my eyes could adjust. Now, after about 7 months of daily wear'age' () I don't notice them. In fact i sometimes forget to take them out at the end of the month. Anyways, I use the Solo Care Aqua rinse sollution (best i can find, since they clean them perfectly and in 8 hours.) And the Night & Day contact lenses. Just ask your eye doctor about what contatcs best suit you.

FYI: The cost for the yearly set of contacts and sollution is just a guesstimate. But it's more than 250 and less than 350.
You can get them at any eye doctor/vision care person. (Just make sure they have a good education. Don't wanna be puting crap into your eyes.

I use ESS nvg profiles with turbofan, and I love them. I also have some JT Felx 8 goggles and they ok if really needed but in my opinion no comparison to my ESS's. The field of vision is much better, I rarely ever fog at all and if they do I just turn on the fan to the higher setting and 10secs later, fog gone. My only issue was they were a bit expensive, they cost me $215 to the door but in the grand sceme of things, eye protection should be at the top of your list of buys.

I received my ESS goggles today. I'm quite impressed. They fit well and they're comfortable. They fit really well over a helmet too. Really cheap too. But I can see that foam wearing down kind of quickly. Doesn't look too tough to me. Otherwise though, these seem like great goggles.

Not to revive a dead thread.

I'm having problems with the fit of basically every pair of goggles. Bolle / ESS Any other suggestions. I don't want to shell out the 100 dollars for the "asian fit" goggles although i'm sure they would be ideal for my face.
