I use this stuff for my WA GBB's
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...8&catid=10652# I dunno if it's tetraflouro-whatever or diflouro-whatever, but I'm going tomorrow to pick up that MG stuff you guys mentioned, it seems really good from what I've read online and there's a retailer that his it literally around the corner from my house! The MG Chemicals one is "the right stuff" (HFC134a). I got a can once, from a camera shop, but I don't see any anymore around here.

I went to The Source today, and I can confirm that their Nexxtech gas is indeed tetrafluoroethane. They sell 2 sizes, one for $13 and the other for $16.
I bought a can and it works great in my WA Beretta. Well, it worked great for 2 fills then the filler tube on the can of gas broke off, and is impossible to replace. Looks like I'll be dropping by The Source again tomorrow to snatch up a few more cans. Also, I ordered a few cans of the MG Checmicals gas from here: http://www.ccrwebstore.com/shop/prod...products_id=95 5 cans for $54.15 US, including shipping.

I did some testing with difluoroethane (Falcon Dustoff from Staples) and tetraflouroethane (Nexxtech from The Source) duster gases, and propane using my WA Beretta. BBs used were .20g biodegradable BBs from Walmart (it's the only .20s available locally).
I gave the gun repeated fills of both gases (once with propane, 5 times with each duster). I filled the magazine for a 7 seconds each time. I let the mags sit for 2 mins after each fill to let everything settle and warm a bit. I shot the gun off at a rate of about 1 shot every 2 seconds as to not cool the mags too significantly between shots. Shot distance was exactly 15 feet, and the target was a Crosman Soft Air Gel target. I wish I had a chronograph to get velocity ratings, but unfortunately I don't have one, so my results are purely observation. PROPANE With the propane, as exected (I'd used it a few times before), the shot was very powerful and the slide action was hard and fast. The recoil effect of the blowback was far stronger than my all metal KJW that runs on propane. I was quite amazed a plastic gun could have that much recoil. But this is also the issue that plastic can't take that kind of repeated beating. So this is now the last time I've run this gun on propane alone. At the 15 foot range I tested the gun at, accuracy was amazing. I was putting the BB exactly where I wanted to each time without a problem. The BB travelled exactly where it was aimed. I had no trouble hitting BBs stuck to the target from previous shots. I was aiming for them and hitting them. And the BBs hit the target with an authoritative "whack" that firmly stuck them into place. When I would hit a BB on the target, more often than not one or both the BBs would shatter. I was able to get all 26 shots off without a problem, with only the last 2 shots losing a bit of power. This gun is awsome running on propane, but unfortunately, I won't be doing that anymore, since I'd like to keep the slide intact. "FALCON DUSTOFF" DIFLUOROETHANE GAS Next I tried the Falcon gas. The cycling action was weak, as was the overall power. The first 2 shots seemed to hit with decent power and reasonable accuracy, but the power started to decline after that. BBs hit the target, but not hard enough to really stick them to the surface as they do with all my other guns. They would quickly roll off. The mileage was also horrible. And I would get at most 14 to 15 shots off on one fill, with the 13-15th shots being practically useless. At that 13th shot, the slide was not even able to cycle back all the way to recock the hammer, only enough to load a new BB. Accuracy was terrible with this gas. Shots were inconsistent and would be hard to put on target accurately. Results were pretty consistent using this gas. It scored almost the same (shit performance) through all 5 mags that I fired of this gas. However, due to the fact that it perfors poorly and wears down seals, it's not worth using. "NEXXTECH DUST REMOVER SPRAY" TETRAFLUOROETHANE GAS This gas was a significant improvement, but still didn't seem to perform as well as I had hoped it would, despite it being advertised as tetrafluoroethane (HFC 134A) gas. The shot power and slide cycling was much better than the Falcon gas, but seemed to weaken sigfinicantly after the 9th or 10th shot each time. At that point, the power of the gun and cycling action became sluggish like with the difluoroethane gas, but with a bit more power behind the BBs. Most shots until the 12th would hit the target hard enough to stick. By the 17th or 18th shot, the slide was no longer cycling all the way back. and by the 23rd shot, I was out of gas. Accuracy was much improved over the Flacon gas though. It remained fairly consistent until about the 12th shot then start to lose accuracy. The results varied a bit more with this gas. I had a couple of "decent" runs where I managed to get good power and a few bad ones too - one where I ran out of gas on the 15th shot. It's a definite improvement over the difluoroethane gas. However, if I fill the mag for 10 seconds (that's when it starts to spurt out) I can seem to consistently empty the magazine. But after the 15th shot, power and accuracy start to deteriorate a bit. and feel more like the Falcon gas. But I did find the right combination or propane & duster as Drake suggested to me back on page 1. I use 8 seconds of the Nexxtech gas and 1 second of propane. It makes for an awesome combination of power, consistency and 'mileage'. The gun cycles very nicely. It's more powerful than on the Tetrafluoroethane duster alone, but nowhere near as hard as it ran on 100% propane. The recoil feels a bit weaker than my metal KJW. And with propane I can easily get all 26 shots off with only the last 2 hots starting to weaken. With the propane / Nexxtech gas, I think I found the perfect combination. I'll have to see what the MG Chemicals gas is like. They shipped my 5 cans today, so I should have them soon.

Do not use difluoroethane. It will eat away at your seals, and people say it can also eat away at ABS eventually. Use the tetrafluoroethane.

HFC134a is a tad more powerful than difluoroethane. + HFC134a its safer to use on airsoft guns.

No what? To everything? Why do I always see that advice on here?

The Purolator dude showed up today with my 5 cans of MG Chemicals HFC 134A duster. I tried it in my WA pistol, and lo and behold, it works better than the Nexxtech stuff. Not a whole lot better, but seems to give better performance and mileage.
I also installed the old recoil spring from my KJW Metal M9 into my WA (got a new 150% recoil spring for the KJW). It's a lot stiffer than the stock WA spring. I can actually shoot propane in the gun now with a lot less violent slide action than before. I still don't think it's enough to protect it from the propane kick though. I think would need another full 150% spring for that.
