So how is that Tanaka USP (the GBB) in a hundred words or less?

I'm very much after one but can't find online reviews of it in particular.

Not that the online reviews aren't confusing. Love KJW, hate KJW, Love TM, hate TM, love metal, love plastic, etc. etc.

Well - I never fired it. It came to me with a broken plastic slide. The metal slide on it is a KJW, and needs to have a slot dremelled in it for the blowback unit for it to fire. But as far as it is looks/feel wise - most excellent. Very heavy (heavyweight frame, as far as I'm told, only Tanaka has a heavyweight frame.), and solid. Nice that it has a decocker like the real deal. Full trademarks and all. Very comfortable in the hand (I have big palms but my fingers are fairly short, and it is very comfortable, especially for a double stacker). The plastic quality on the frame seems very impressive.

Cheers,
Alex

Good stuff, Alex. Every time I see a 93R I regret selling mine. It was EXACTLY like yours, in fact it needed parts as well....who did you grab it from? It may be my old one, which would totally blow my mind.

The AKM is coming nicely as well. When are you finally going to get it out on the field, you chairsofter you?

(Jokes, jokes....)

Really? I never liked the look of the 93R. I think it's pretty damn fugly, but to each his own!

Could be! Did yours need two small parts, one in the blowback unit and one under the barrel? I got it from 163154. Did it blow or mind or em I completely off?

Haha, I'm hoping to go out sometime soon, very soon. As for the AKM - just got an ICS ribbed top cover for it, King arms AKM/AK-74 safety lever and Systema hopup rubber are in the mail , waiting to place an order for ICS bolts.

So what about your AK, Simon?

Cheers mate!
Alex

And yes, both of those Tanaka USP's are awesome, Kos.

I'm not sure what it needed, I just know that it left my hands some months ago barely working. I'll look under my PMs and see who it went to. We can track it.

Do you still need that C-clip for your hop-up? I just got another new unit, and there will be a few spare parts kicking about pretty soon. Should be the last time I have to replace something in the foreseeable future.

Ah so the AK is still in your possession.

I modified a C-clip from a FP8, seems to hold the barrel nice and tight. I hope my accuracy comes back when I get that systema bucking/nub. If anything, I'll PM you. Thanks mate.

Let me know on the 93r :P

Cheers,
Alex

Of course the AK is still in my possession. What else would you expect?

I just checked and the PM must have been so old it got deleted. :-( Maybe it was Yahnchan (spelling?) but I can't say for sure. Hopefully someone'll know.

Yeah, what WAS I thinking... just because you offered it to me not too long ago

Could be Yanhchan - his 93r needs a new hopup. I'll ask him.

Cheers!
Alex
