If anyone is doing a group order. I'd be in for a pair of the low-cuts, size 10 in black. Don't think any of my friends are biting this one.

Just to chime in because I also climb and bike (MTB) and 5.10 is regarded as one of the top companies. I'm guessing the 5.10 name comes from the grading of climbing routes with 5.10 traditionally being the hardest and an homage to climbing (although I think they have up to 5.15c now, the hardest I've ever done was a 5.10b).
I also rock the 5.10 Impact Low for mountain biking and they are regarded as the top as far as riding flat pedals go. If you go to the Whistler bike park, pretty much every second mountain biker there will be wearing some model of 5.10 and if not they're probably wearing some sort of clipless SPD shoe (IMO Sidi really does it right but I also don't have $200 to drop on clipless shoes). If what Cliff has said in the other thread is true, they'll fit like climbing shoes which should be tighter and will have a different stance compared to regular boots. Definitely don't go more than half a size up. Also if they use the same "stealth rubber" as they do on their climbing shoes and bike shoes they'll *really* be non slip. If that doesn't convince you, Adidas also bought them out around 2010 and they're also the ones who make and supply the GSG9 with their aptly named GSG9 boots so you know you're getting a quality product either way.

I'm getting two more because I'll never be able to ever again.
Anthony/ other "B-but the shipping!" people: If you wait on other people to get another 2% off your 75% off boots you'll get no boots. Like that time I could have had four $1200 Gore Tex suits for $500 but only got one instead. |

Back order? Refunds imminent?
Doubt they'd restock them at $29.00. |
