Was about to say that. I had a problem with a 7.4 lipo on a p*. battery was about the size of my thumb 700mah tops, and in -20 weather it wouldnt power the FCU. Stuck it under my armpit for 10 minutes first then it worked.

I'd go the daytona gun route... P* just doesn't have enough feedback for me.. If you think AEGs make miserable amounts of noise.. P*s just so boop boop boop when you shoot them.

I just went to adjust the crane stock on my aeg and heard a weird hissing sound and saw some smoke. Barely managed to get the 3s Lipo out of the stock as it was heating up. No fire but got very hot and swollen. I cut all of the connection wires in the off chance that would make it safer.
Close call for sure.

So just thought I would add this here.
Went to place an order for new batteries from Airsoftstore (Stealth) and they basically said "Hey, buy your battery and we will toss in a free replacement for you as well". SOLID! This is why I will continue to buy from them and steer people their way. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! |

I have about 12 of those hobby king batteries, only 2 have swollen or gone south that were my fault with using them a little too exuberantly. One really swollen one died during a piston jam and the trigger contacts fusing/melting together on the test bench. The other is slightly puffy from over draw I think. That one is only used on the test bench now for quick access to disconnect it if it gets worse.
It's a well priced reliable battery... as reliable as lipos get anyways. Never lower your guard around them is the only advice I can give.

Depending where you live, your local fire department may have a battery disposal program.
