Blank firing people and I had discussion about something like that just this last weekend. How to combine real steel sound and something that is actually can hit you... This thing is great!

I think its a bad idea for indoors. A decently loud sound in an enclosed space? Might blow your ears.

2 things every military in the world would like to get rid of.
1. Recoil 2. Sound So for your true MILSIM guys this would not even be on the radar because you want stealth and accuracy to achieve your goals. Now if you want to run around and let everyone know your position because you want your Airsoft gun to sound real then knock yourself out. |

Every operator wants less recoil and less noise signature. However, until we invent portable laser weapons, it's not going to be the case. Because of that, operators have to work hard and employ tactics suited to the tools available. Now because airsoft guns don't have much recoil and barely makes any noise, basic stuff like FoF identification, steath approach, reconnaissance, target and line of fire evaluation and choice are not really relevant. By the time your target spots you, you had time to hose down lots of precise shots. Having to cope with the fact that if you miss or miscalculate your position or the enemy's forces and movement changes EVERYTHING. That comes from a guy playing GBBRs all summer. It does have a louder signature than any AEG, and at least a little recoil. Still, it's closed to a suppressed .22LR than a 5.56 supersonic round. Having that kind of device on your gun would force you to adapt to a more realistic situation, with the benefit that you can use an AEG or ERG to add reliability and drop entry price. |

Milsim guys will be all over this as they are in search of fucking realism, which is what this provides, see Kos-Mos posts for the rest.

To be honest it sounds a lot like my Etek 3 paintball gun without paint in it maybe a little louder
But the video really doesn't help with DB testing you need to run a DB tester. not just the audio off some video.

Having to deal with the loudness of guns(and give away your position) is what happens in RL. Although i'm glad they said they're putting in a volume adjustment. |

I will take no recoil and silence over some silly noise maker. Quote:

I think CTW sounds better, but in a few years as it get perfected, it would be even more realistic.
