I have the KWA Mac11 and MP9. If this is your first gun, I would not get the Mac11 due to its poor accuracy and range. I've used the MP9 once so far and it is really fun to use. Mac 11 with 2 extra mags should be around 350 and the MP9 with a extra mag is 360. I also have a CA UMC (UMP), but I dislike the gun because of how bad it is.

Just picked up a King Arms P90 today, I love it so far. Just make sure you're comfortable with the ergonomics first though--it's a love-it-or-hate-it relationship.

Have to say I can also suggest the P90. Used a buddies for a couple CQB games and fell quickly in love with it. Best bet is to physically go into a store and hold a couple, see what feels best for you.

(Cooldown is when rapid firing causes the mag to go cold due to the rapid decrease in gas pressure, which in turn causes the remaining gas to contract, causing further pressure losses and thus reducing the power of your shots.)

If you have your heart set on it, then that's that. But I highly advise against it as a primary weapon.
The KWA MP9 on the market now is the system 7/NS2 gas system which is extremely gas efficient. I have the ASG-KWA MP9 (rebranded KWA) but haven't tried it in cold yet. It does shoot hot especially with the angry gun kit!

My only problem with it is that on full auto, the mag emptied instantly.

If its a shitty gas gun, Sure, it'll be affected.

I've run my KC02 and my KWA Mp7 on semi around 10C before. Wasn't bothered one bit.

There is only one airsoft SMG; the MP5.

It's available in version both electric and gas and with either bargain basement pricing for non-loaded players & all the way up to stratospheric PTW pricing for those players.

Solid stocks, sliding or folding oes, suppressed or not. PDW sized or with a RAS or integrated silencer, high caps or low, metal or plastic bodies and almost as many bolt on parts as a M4.

Easy to find new and tons of choice for used.

Is the P90 not classed as an SMG?

Daaaaaamn right!

The G&G MP5 is probably the best one out there. It's all metal, soinds amazing with the pneumatic blowback, it's cheap and outperforms all others out of the box.

you guys aren't figuring int what it will cost for pouches to hold mags.

20$ish for a single p90 or ump pouch to carry 1 mag.
or around 30ish for a double.
and they're so long you have to have a vest or full plate carrier or chest rig that has enough molle on the front to strap them to.

I'm a big dude and can strap 6 across my vest and if I wanted 4 on a leg.... at midcap that's not a whole lot of ammo for the amount of realestate. You could carry easily double the m4 mags in the molle space required to carry those p90 mags but you're looking at cost of tac gear that's not insignificant.

Mp5 might be a bit cheaper, the pouches are smaller and you can carry more on a chest or vest rig, but around the same cost per double pouch.

The cheapest rigs to run are m4 and ak by the sheer amount of available pre configured vests and chest rigs.

if you're looking at PDWs... why not the actual PDW that uses m4 mags?

Imo the KWA Kriss is the best gas smg built and is a clear choice. I got mine Dec 24 it was one of the first production guns and i love it. I run propane only, this gun has outlasted all other airsoft guns i have owned. I have had VFC aeg 416, TM aeg g36, g&g aeg ump, WE gbb scar all of these other guns have broken down in some way but not the Kriss. I have about 12k rounds threw it and it still looks and shoots like the day i got it.
