I remember the Amway bug juice, green can and I think it was 95% deet as well. Used the Bounce dryer sheets, still do and they seem to work well. When I used to 4X4 a lot we used Avons skin so soft (one of the guys wifes sold it). It was great untill we relized it is oil based and we all look like lobsters by the end of the weekend. Now I use the deep woods off and the bounce sheets. And deet dosen't hurt you, I find that third eye in the back of my head rather handy just hard to get eye pro for.

Also - for dryer sheets - do you just stick them in your pockets? Rub them on you? How long do they last? |

The US military has started pre treating all of its new combat uniform with
PERMTHRIN Arthropod Repellent. There is a label inside with details. From new it lasts 25 washes and then you can reapply the spray and its good for a nother 6 cycles. Just another benifit of buying from Dude I sell Pants! http://phc.amedd.army.mil/PHC%20Reso...s-June2007.pdf Last edited by Armyissue; May 16th, 2013 at 12:18.. |

Just be careful if you have cats, premethrine suppose to be toxic to them.
The Off clip on works but if it's windy or you're moving from place to place today, it'll lose effectiveness. My favourite form of Deet is the lotion, find it really easy to apply without getting in places you with not to. ! On mobile; sorry for any spelling mistakes or autocorrects!

Downy Fabric sheets. 2 in the bdu shirt pockets, 2 in the pants pockets. Mossies do not like it at all. Bug free all weekend.

With the temperature we're going to have, I don't think we'll have that much trouble with bugs and all. You should be more aware on how to repel BBs instead of mosquitos

No, Shade, you have to EAT them.......unpleasant, but it works. Two before the game, and one at lunch usually does the trick. Makes taking a dump much more pleasant for the guys in neighboring stalls......though it does make for some awkward conversations......

I remember my dad left a small squeeze-type bottle of bug juice on the dash of his 66 Polara when I was a kid......it leaked and littlerally disolved a 6x6 hole in the dash.

This was the stuff!
Don't know what it was years ago, but now it's 15% DEET.....good part was that it didn't stink. http://www.amway.com/Shop/Product/Pr...?itemno=109163 |

I have been thinking of trying the Thiamine (Vitamin B) patch. Not sure if I want to deal with the odor some people experience. Also, the reviews are hit and miss on it's effectiveness. |
