Skruface, the one we chronoed today was having some FPS inconsistencies as well, so maybe it's inherant.

I think cause its brand new maybe just takes a bit of time for the spring to sorta settle in. But I was very pleased. For a stock gun the range and accuracy was superb. I am sure all the upgrade parts will be out soon for it. But given how good this thing shoots stock just the bushings, spring and tightbore would make a HUGE difference. Oh yeah the Hopup is great. It it very very tunable unlike anyother hopup I have ever seen. When I got the gun the hop up was so low the BB's rolled out the barrel. Well seemed like a had to turn the wheel around a few times completely to get enough to hold the bb's it. I don't know how many little clicks are in total availible from say low hopup to high but must be over 100. Maybe I will count em later but its fair to say each click adjusts very little so you can get a very precise setting. I set mine in the morning and was great all day even using it in a accuracy competition at the end of the day. |

exactly how inconsistent was it shooting? like... +/- 30fps?
It's not unusual for a bone stock AEG to shoot +/- 15fps. Almost all of the 5 AEGs I've ever owned were around that tolerance level. |

well at the start of the day when the gun was brand spanking new it was chrono 300-305 for about 6 shots.
At the end of the day it was fairly consistent around 257-265. But had a couple spikes like to 285. Now I swear I was using .25's for both Chrono attempts. Though I don't know why at the end of the day it was so much lower unless I accidently used .20's at the start of the day. Or just the spring was so new it was still firm and after a lot of use in the day it settled down a bit. But anyhow the accuracy of the gun was amazing. I have never shot an AEG so consistent. I think it will probably end up being one of the most accurate AEG sniper weapon platforms possible. Put it this way the gun is so good I sold my A2 and m4 and thinking about selling my PTW gun as well. I fired probably 1000 rds semi only and never had one single issue like other AEG's might firing semi only. Course its very very early to tell but I think TM has got a Winner here. |

Got my m14 for myself yersterday !
It's still shooting at 320 with 0.20 Airsoft elite bb after 500bb shot trough it on a large 9.6V battery. Very nice AEG indeed.. The best i have yet.. This will be my outdoor main gun and my p90 will be used for winter games. |

I re chronoed today. Made sure I was using .2's and I was getting a consistent 291-295 FPS very little variation. About maybe 1 in 10 or 12 shots I would deviate maybe by 10-15 fps but for the most part was very good.
I suspect the higher chrono result at first was just due to the fact the gun was brand new and the spring fresh. After breaking in the spring it settled down. Another thing about the gun is its quiet. Normally my wife complains when I am shooting in the basement. But the m14 was so quiet she didn't hear me and I didn't get in trouble. Trigger pull feels very nice too like others have mentioned. |

My m14 chrono at around 315 fps consistancely using .20g bbs. Maybe 1 spike in every 12 shots.

I am going to get one eventually, but I am going to wait for better part and mag availability. Its one thing to order this (I've handled one down in Knoxville and they are sweet) but the chrony inconsistency concerns me (could just be spring break in) and the lack of mags and repair parts also. I'd hate to have it sitting in my basement broken for months for lack of parts. I'll have to stay satisfied with my RS M14 at the moment... oh boo hoo...
... incidently, no problems with the FPS on mine... it just runs a little hot at 2300+, lol... |

I went ahead and bought a Marui Jay. I have faith in that company at least.
