I have an airgun that got a really heavy double action trigger (jericho 941), tried silicone, gigaloo, oil.. nothing helped.... until I used the Prolab PL-100,
amazing lubricant, penetrate and stay on metal, do not harm plastic. now trigger pull is smooth, 1/2 the force needed to pull it now.
the only problem is the price, 25$ for a can! but works great!!!

If there's any form of petroleum in that, it's not going on any of my guns.

I just use the same oil that came with my Paintball marker eclipse silicone oil and I got a tube of grease as well it's made to preform better at colder temps than regular oil and grease respectively

I'm going to assume that there is petroleum in one way or another seeing as how most penetrating oil contains it...

Yes from what I read on the bottle it contain petrolum product, (Naphta). but in what ratio??? don't know.
It says that it is completly harmless for metal, rubber, plastic, glass...
It solved completly the friction problem of my Jericho trigger where silicone didn't help in any way.

made in Québec!

I'm pretty sure synthetic grease would have solved the problem as well. Stay away from lubes and oils containing petroleum, it's the only advice I can tell you :P

Superlube is good if you can find it. A tube should last you forever. I bought a tube in like 2004 and still have it, and I do an appreciable amount of gearbox work.

You use superlube in the gearbox of an AEG as well? Aren't you supposed to use a grease for that?

Superlube IS a grease... as well as an oil. It depends on which form you purchase it in. The oil is mostly useless, as I've seen it swell a number of hop up rubbers. The grease, however, is friggin awesome, and why I stock it regularly.

good to know. So the grey tube of superlube is an excellent choice for gearbox grease then?

I prefer it over most other products for all metal-on-metal contact.

Molybdenum is very nice, but also very expensive. This is one of the main reasons why I prefer Super Lube. The priceerformance ratio is the best I've used.

I've yet to try Frog Lube.
