You should remove the name of the retailer. Non-AV members can see this section.

Dont matter giving out retailer names is against the rules.

My loaner gun is an ICS MP5, bought from the classified section for a mere $150. After getting it shimmed + MOSFET it works great with a 7.4 LiPo.

My real advice is to keep an eye out for deals in the classifieds due to broken car, need to pay debt, sudden expenses, etc. They tend to sell quickly (the MP5 had twelve potential buyers after two hours), but they save you a ton of money. I like to keep a small sum in the bank just in case a deal comes up.

I used tm g36, tm ak and tm tompson as loners and rentals for years.

Basicaly anything that does not have a gen 2 mechbox with a good capacity highcap and few moving parts is a good loaner.

I dunno if I would buy a gun just for a "loaner"

My suggestion is to buy guns you like and not worry about buying guns for other people to use. If you have a primary only then buy a backup.

I play with a private invite only group so anyone can take any of my guns whenever they like, I don't worry too much about my friends wrecking my stuff.

The Velocity Arms VA36 (G36) is a nice loaner gun. Lightweight, fairly reliable, inexpensive, TM compatible, version 3 gearbox, and it can be serviced and upgraded fairly easily.

Other viable alternatives are pretty much any inexpensive AK made by CYMA or re-badgers of CYMA, or Echo1, etc. AKs are often the least expensive options out there, and the V3 gearbox is great for reliability.

Hmm that's a lot of good suggestions but I've decided on the King Arms CASV its at a very special price on a certain site of mine. With regards of being Av'd I need to get verified around Scarborough/Markham line so like on Steels do you guys know any of the Age Verifiers that usually respond quickly. Also before you ask I have messaged like 3 different reps in my area already and no reply yet. Thanks for all the feed back everyone Hope to see you guys in a game soon!

If you are looking at cheap.... I have noticed P90s nowadays are dirt cheap, and super easy to work on....

Plastic bodies with metal uppers usually... Since you are like hugging it, and with them being so small, not much to worry about breaking.

Don't forget they have supposedly one of the strongest mechboxes too

Echo1/KS P90s are dirt cheap, CA P90s are pretty cheap nowadays too... Although CA gears are hit or miss in regards to quality control? (My CA P90 gears have different widths on each end and yeah, had to replace them...)

On the other hand, Full KS P90 drop in gearbox kits are under $40 if you want to save money.

Wouldn't hurt to get a Thompson since they are cheap, and use the same gearbox too... Let's you have the option of doing a WW2 loadout when you're bored too :P
