Need not only PAL but restricted as well. The entire CBSA is slowly being armed, so that's now a mandatory term of employment, from my understanding. Beretta PX4s will soon be on the hips of every officer at land, sea, and air borders.

Speaking of which, anyone know of a Non-Restricted/Restricted course running somewhere between December 17 and January 6?

Just a quick followup, yesterday I got called back and she told me it would be released totally to DHL and should be delivered to me this morning.

Well, looks like DHL didn't get it as the tracking hasn't been updated, and I still don't have it... Anyway, at least it's getting released.

Good news, at least CBSA's stopped dicking you around.

Now it's DHL's turn...

From the US, 99% of packages gets taxed.

From Hong Kong, almost nothing.

Why would they need a PAL? Cops don't need one.

Why do you think that's stupid? They shouldn't have any more rights than a regular citizen.

Because let's hope to god they have the proper arms training to handle restricted weapons.

I would dread to be that guy. Get it? Dread. I personally haven't had any problems with CBSA. They're generally cheery when you carry a Canadian passport. Like one time, I crossed at Buffalo-Fort Erie and most of my time was spent talking to the agent about the rest of my trip home and her swatting at a wasp. I could have had 20 kilos of pure cocaine and they would've been none the wiser.

Let me guess, driving a relatively newer car that's in a good price range for your age group (ie. not driving an Audi A8 if you're only 20 but driving something like a early or mid 2000's Camry or Corolla), clean, well shaven, don't look like a hardcore pot smoker, interior relatively clean of garbage. Yeah.... I'm pretty sure they do profiling for when they decide to do "random" searches, or at least those things are part of the algorithm for deciding who to randomly search (ie. it's really a pseudorandom picking and choosing of who to search).

18 year old who hadn't slept the night before and had very bloodshot eyes and I just happened to be taking the Greyhound. So I think I would be a prime target for any such profiling. Except maybe I got a pass because she liked my Cologne. Who knows?
