I tested earlier without the ASCU using a 9.6v 1200mah and 1600mah, and the 8.4 5000mah. It wouldn't cycle with the 1200n mostly with the 1600, and fine with the 8.4 (aside from major switch issues). I haven't had a chance to charge my battery yet since my main charger is being borrowed and I haven't finished fixing my back-up. But, I should get that done in the next couple days and will certainly report back. Thanks for the assistance so far! We're making progress. |

As an update...unfortunately also a double post... I charged my 8.4v 5000mah battery and tested again. The result: still the same. It cycles twice, stops, and beeps twice.

forget the 8.4v, go with something bigger. my 9.6 nimh on a full charge will cycle just fine but die sooner than before. it's much happier with my 9.9v LiFe.
I don't know what else to suggest without seeing it. have someone else look at your gear shimming and motor height. sometimes it helps to step back and let another pair of eyes give it a once over. |

How big is your 9.6v?

My 1500mAh mini 9.6v is almost out of power and it cycles it with no problem (Systema Gearbox with 400 fps Spring).

I'm on my way to do this, for tomorrow's game. I hope it's this, because I've got a rather fast ROF, hoping it's not the ROF that makes this... |

....well my fully charged 9.6v 1600mAh mini cycles once and then beeps twice. I guess my only options would be to get a large 9.6v... or hope that something else is the problem. If a large 9.6v doesn't fix it then it would definitely not be a power issue. I will try shaving off a tiny bit more from the selector plate, but I don't think that is my problem. |

The selector plate wasn't properly cut, played a full game and had no problem at all, the FAQ included with the unit helped me 100% !
