...I was not aware that his title was given as a warning to others.
eh... Negative feedback left. It had to be done. Last edited by Kid; August 30th, 2010 at 17:33.. |

I'm looking for opinions on the second purchase I made and had issues with.
STAR plastic Realcaps (they feed about 14 rounds) were sold as "low caps" (edit: "stand caps". The guy did say in his defense that he thought low caps referred to 20rnd mags). Gun also has a crack in the receiver, broken tabs, and a missing charging handle spring. I'm thinking neutral for him. Yeah? Last edited by Kid; August 30th, 2010 at 22:56.. |

And he didn't tell you about any of this?
Definitely negative. Why didn't you demand a refund for this gun as well? |

I didn't contact him about the issues until about three weeks after I got the gun. Was pondering what to do about it. (my bad, should have done it immediately)
At that point, he basically initially tried to defend himself by saying that lowcaps = 20rnd mags, that he didn't notice the crack, that he forgot about the charging handle spring (that I could accept), and suggested that the crack may have been caused after I received it (he knew I bought it as a loaner - though I couldn't really use it as such since the mags were useless to me). Not sure he said anything about the body tabs. After I countered hisstatements, he said all he can do is "say sorry". My fault in the matter was waiting so long to contact him with the issues. Neg? Attempt a refund demand at this point (3 weeks after receiving)? Last edited by Kid; August 30th, 2010 at 23:38.. |

Both, but good luck with the refund attempt.

I'll see what happens.
At the very least, I don't think TNL was intentionally trying to pawn off a dud on me. The gun has potential - it just needed some (edit: a lot of) loving and some doctoring by someone who knew knows what they're doing. Still, I should have been informed, and my opinions of his gun doctoring skills will stay in his trade rating for future noobs. The M16 seller (tim001ca), though, must have known about the issues. At least the crack on the receiver - the other issues could be an honest mistakes. edit: The hockey tape wiring fix still makes me laugh. Honestly, I can't stay mad at TNL. This gun made me lol many times. Last edited by Kid; August 31st, 2010 at 00:59.. |

Aslong as the items you buy are properly described then any purchase from any member should be ok. what gets me is someone not being honest about something they are selling for a sport that relies on honesty to run right..... :banghead:

Try looking at their trader ratings.... Many Positives should give you a decent peek at their reliability ( not always ).
For the Real caps Kid, did you do the popular DIY fixes to try to get them to feed better?

The mags were each tested b4 shipping. There shouldnt have been a problem as they were all feeding smoothly before i packaged them up for you. The only issue with those mags (which was disclosed in the sale thread) was a minor chip inthe plastic base on one mag. Which is why I threw that in for free with the package. In any case, if you had told me during the game, i could have looked at your mags for you. There are many things that can cause mags to misfeed Some mags have compatability issue with certain brands of guns in terms of feeding. What brand of BB's are u using? Are you Maintaining your mags (As i know that you had them in at least 2 games where it was POURING rain) and I am of course assuming that you do maintain your mags properly. (Otherwise the spring will rust and become weak). Im not Psychic dude. I cant do anything if you dont say or do anything about it. The only thing you told me was "Gimmeh Feedback" via PM and you left a positive TR so I would assume that there was no issue as they were working flawlessly when they left my bench.
