EDIT: I'm not 100% certain which sling plate FAZR was referring to. I thought he might be referring to the sling plate seen (albeit not that well) in these images appearing on rifles utilized by members of CANSOFCOM.

It appears to be similar to the plate that's included with the Colt Canada civi rifles as in the pic in the previous post but i can't tell if it's the same or not.

GATO, given your experience with C8 builds, can you shed some light on this? Also can you advise what "factory" C8's are issued with?

Yes I was talking about that one you first shared, and they all look the same to me honestly (the C8 ones.)

I love how it looks.
I HATE the American one, I have one on my Block II.

Those are AR-10B's Super SASS carbines. I know some units got AR-10T's but I was unaware we got Super SASS ones as well.

C8 had no sling plate
C8A1 had no sling plate
C8A2 was a C8 with a cold hammer forged barrel (14.5) never adopted by cf
C8 SFW had no sling plate
C8FTHB had no sling plate
C8A3 same sling plate as C7A2 from what I've seen

Obviously, some groups may alter them, at which point it becomes a bit of a crap shoot. SF are a particularily bad example in terms of "standard" kit

There's a pic of a FTHB with the stock sling attachment out there, AFAIK the A3s are just dual toned, accuwedged (ugh) and ambidextrous.

What will be the model marking on the C8 if I'm dressing the rifle up as CANSOFCOM style? C8A3? SFW?

And do the CSOR/JTF2/SOFCOM still use the Simon Sleeve for their CANSOFCOM rifles?

Yes, you're allowed to import anything but lowers & suppressors from my understanding.
