These mp5s have been out for a while. Are these just as riddled with problems as WE rifles? There aren't any reviews online where people actually use these things. Only retailers boasting their positives.

I just placed in some steel parts into the trigger pack and suddenly the gun would shoot semi a few times then suddenly shoot non-stop on auto. I am not sure if it is caused by the 150% hammer spring and the cold weather causing the bolt to not push the hammer back enough for the sear to lock it... at first I thought it was the roller sear spring but after swapping it to a semi only spring and trigger, it still seems to do the same. Has anybody experienced this? It's about 8 Celsius now though...

The latest revision from VFC starting since last year are perfect right out of the box. This is way better than WE, WE makes garbage. Anyone who tells you otherwise is talking out of their ass.

I don't deal with real steel parts on the VFC, the trigger group works perfect if kept all original.

For the hammer spring issue I made my own custom buffer ring to increase the tension by only 15-20%. Which is perfect, not too strong and not too light. Still can use the original hammer without it being damaged to the point where it would snap.

Just registered to post in the topic, all the way from Denmark :-)
Just picked up the MP5SD3 - serial 29595 - guess this would make it version 3?

Having experience with the real steel version, Im a little disappointet about the fit of the stock and the fore grip. Are there better alternatives that will fit?

Also it is a bit sloppy when releasing the bolt - would a stronger spring kill the cycling of the action?

It won't be used for games - so Im aiming for a better feel, and crisper semi-auto.

Oh, and of course a photo, or it didnt happen :-)

On closer inspection, the cocking handle doesnt lock into the cut-out - looks like the cocking handle support hits the supressor - will need to cut it down a little.

Also the bolt head looks pretty lousy - nothing like VFC's shown on Redwolf. Maybe get the Azimuth CNC stainles steel?

That's what you need for keeping the bolt stable.

I dont think those will fit my VFC bolt - it has a little edge at both ends. However the Crusader one looks flat - so would get them when I upgrade the bolt.

Shoot it quite a lot yesterday. Not much better than 5cm at 8m. Barrel seems a little lose, will try and stabilize it with a o-ring. Shooting .25 - maybe try something heavier?
Will be used at 10m for plinking

Ah okay I see how it fits now. Many thanks
Pretty old thread this, people talking VSR10-hop-up mods. Are they still the way to go, now that you can find upgraded hop ups that are a direct fit (like the FE CNC).

OK I feel like Im spamming this thread, so Ill edit this post instead :-)
What's the best high flow valve for the magazines?
