I am looking at this gun for a stater gun, and I was looking at the TF-16 but I read that it sucks. Which one of these would be a better deal? I would probably just paint the clear parts because it looks stupid.

They're the exact same gun.

Just bought the gun for $190 before GST, worth the price? Nothing but default stock items such as battery, clear mag and what-not. And should I be looking into getting a 8.4V or 9.6V battery? Higher ROF or longer fire time? Which is better for this gun.

I'd go with velocity arm, little more pricey but if your gun comes broken they're more likely to replace it for you.

Ummm

Well a question :

Does it have a steel gearbax as many sites claim ? if yes the overall qualiry of the geabox ?

Why I am asking this ? I have an SLR-105 by CA ( AK-74 with polymer furniture ) with PSO-1 scope , anyways i repaired it a lot already but it seems the gearbox got old and fatiqed and well damaged . SO the google states that it has a steel box , the only other supposed gear box is the not yet released SRC box .

A Classic Army Version 3 mechbox should hold up fine... what the hell did you do to your gun?

If you really want to know , put in a 120 madbull spring , I used the gun for around 3 years , a year without disassembly , but the gun was from a very old batch and had awful quality , the only thing of superrior quality are the gears .

The gearbox has is usable just has signs of ware , and i have suspicion that it might fail by the end of this year .

AND BY THE WAY
Can anyone answer my question ?

You will gain ROF by using a good quality 8.4v battery. Original one does the job, but the ROF is very different from a good 8.4v one.

9.6v will add stress to your gun parts (gears, motor, etc...) thus reducing it's life time.

The gearbox is a metal Cyma v3 (It is tagged as CM02 but it's not). No credit to me, google has the credit :P

Another good way to get the orange tip off, is just take some plyers and twist it off, in a counter clockwise motion. Comes off with minimal force.

I live near Toronto, and can get a Clear/Black Kraken at Bass Pro for around $150. Would this kit really worth it, or would it be better to buy what is included seperately?

http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=353

I would want a mount for a recticle / red dot / whatever it is called and possible a scope. A foregrip is also a nice touch.

The battery will be crap. The charger will be crap. The sling will be crap.

And it's a kraken, so it's only moderately better than crap.

If you absolutly HAVE to get one, I wouldn't pay more than 150 for it.

I would probably upgrade it, but if I got a normal stock kraken, I would just add rails and a foregrip to it anyways, So would getting the $120 - $170 stock Kraken at Bass Pro then buying and adding these parts later be cheaper? I would also find a suitable and good battery/charger, the sling I don't really give a crap
