Hah thanks! The BT needs to go that's for sure...It works ok...but just waiting for my goalie equipment to sell then I'm off to Milsig for a CQB.

I've definitely started thinking about switching to airsoft, just don't know where I would play in Victoria. Guess I'll have to do more looking into it.

Also looking into getting a battlebelt. Since it sits high and doesn't really give too much space for other pouches.

Comfortable so far (even with the huge mess of wires). The only real issue is shouldering. I can shoulder, it's stable, but not really confortable. I can't however see how I can make it better while keeping both radios accessible easily. Ideas?

Issued pouches were all BHI in OD. Some guys supplemented their load with Paraclete/Tactical Tailor/HSGI though

Condor Kangaroo Pouches. They're doubles.

Kind of a PITA for sticking mags back in after a change (Dont' have a dump pouch yet.) but they're nice for storing other mags, for my hicapa/m24 and the such.

Good looking setup, couple things though, I'm sure you've picked up on some of them already.

1.) Cable Management, gotta make sure the cables are tucked into the vest/webbing. Want to make sure you or any objects, etc won't get caught up in the cables and rip them out, and so on. The cable going to the base of the VHF whip looks like it'll get caught onto something very easily.

2.) At minimum, I would tuck the VHF antenna(at least a portion of it) into the PALs webbing, make it less likely to get caught up on things, especially if you will be wearing a pack.

As for making the radios more accessable, probably just going to have to accept that you won't be able to easily pull them out and look at the faceplate. Generally you shouldn't have to access the menus, as long as you set everything up properly before putting it into the internal radio pouch. Also, you shouldn't have to be changing channels to much, if you do it shouldn't be too many channels. Having a simple comms plan loaded into the radio with only a few channels is easy to manage. Just have to know which freq is in each channel on the radio, and just change the channels by clicks. If your primary channel is channel 1(all the way to the left), and you need to goto ch 2 or 3, it'll be 1 or two clicks to the right. Also, which headset/ear buds are you running or plan on?

As well depending on what you are doing and where, you could ditch the pistol and possibly frag. But I'd keep the frag over a pistol anyday if I had to choose just one. I would also have a smoke as well, good for marking. Primary job is talking on the radio and advising the team leader in ref to CAS/CCA, ROVER, etc not shooting and throwing frags, etc but of course situation dictates. All personal choice on placement of the kit, but just wondering why you choose to put the Foretrex on the RBAV and not your wrist?
