I was trying to build a loading system that will serve me the best since last year's OP Rhino. The ideal platform must be light weight, breathable, can hold certain numbers of mags and other stuff, and can increase the combat efficiency. now I got this vest:
It was a JPC and still partly is one, however I 've done some mod on it to make it more comfortable and combat environment friendly. Part list: JPC from Huang TT utility pouch TT M4 mag pouch Shoulder pad from a SPC vest It can hold 5 M4 mags, 3 9mm pistal mags, 1 grenade, radio, 1.75L of water, and some other small personal items once its completed. and it will serve me well in milsim like Op rhino as it is built for missions like that. Now still waiting for a 1.75L water pouch which will be located on the back panel and looking for a real VIP light.

I really like that ^^^^
Super light, super simple and uncluttered and still has just as much as anyone could ever need in an average game!

You play with 3+1 mag? Or you got more on your first line?

I can do 5+1, the vest itself can hold 3 mags, the TT m4 mag pouch can hold 2, so thats 5 in total, plus 1 more on the gun itself, so it's 5 + 1. this built was designed for milsim events, and you don't really shoot a lot in milsim, thus 5 is good enough for me. my first line will only hold a pistol holster and a medic pouch / dump pouch, and that'll be all. For me it's like the lighter the better.

I mostly do milsims only, but I find myself on the frontline and I burn trough 8 mags fairely easely when my squad is moving and shooting. Our fields are pretty large though. For CQB, 4+1 is enough.

I'd say... through most 24 hr milsims, 12 mags has been more then enough, but that also depends on where you are playing, how you shoot, and the scenarios that are laid out. To be fair I have seen some of fox's videos from rawdon ( i think i spelt it right) and it seems to me that in order to be able to move any squad around that field, a lot of cover fire and movement has to be employed.

I can always reload my mags at my HQ as long as I need it, it doesn't seem to be a problem to me, reloading the mags is also a part of the game, isn't it? Through all my milsim experience from previous years, I always had half or 1/3 of my mags fully loaded when I got back to HQ(I usually carry 9 mags on me). Thus, I prefer less mags than more, the more stuff I carry, the slower I will be, and the faster I will be burn out. I guess thats all depends on what roles I was playing in milsim, I agree with Ballcancer that it depends on how one shoots and how the game rule goes. Most milsim games I played have ammo limit, so 5+1 will just be fine with me. Again, this built is just for me, it fits my need but it might not fits other peoples' style.

how true is that.. everytime I see someone using a support weapon, they are trying to pick off people instead of laying down a blanket of bb's to cover friendlies trying to flank, withdraw or move up.
