Thanks stalker,

Though we havn't met personally, I'll be in contact with you in the coming weeks I'm sure, to relay some idea's and such.

Today I managed to (as far as I can tell, until I see the rest, finish my helmet. Turned out well, again, as far as I can tell, until I see exactly how well it works.

I also managed to get a bunch of my gun done, but am not completely ghillieing it. Enough to break up the colour, but not completely as some black still shows through. I plan to add more as I finish up my poncho, with scraps and such.

I'll post some pics tomorrow night.

I'm around if you need help, but please don't tell me you are planning to wear a helmet under your ghillie?!? Use only the helmet cover as a hood, don't use a helmet under it!!!! Geez......... Lol

Here at work I can't get most of the pictures on the posts to come up (must be the set up on the internet filter/security settings thing) so I can't check out his pics. I do know he's planning to just add the ghillie to his existing kit, so it's more like a stalker / sharp shooters rig rather than a full blown sniper's ghillie. Can't wait to the finished project though.
Maybe we can sway him to the dark side and he'll go full blow sniper....

Cool. Would have been cooler if varying lengths of strips were cut from the net to break up the regular uniform look.

Sha Do, it's one thing to suck someone over to the dark side of sniping, it's another to KEEP them there!

what do you guys on your head/face area? I was thinking of just wearing my OD shemagh draped over my head, maybe with a balaclava.

This is always a personal preferance....My top of my ghillie is drapped off of a boonie and hangs over a little at the front and is much longer at the back, so when laying prone, it covers my face. Some people use camo'd balaclavas, and others use shemaghs.
I am, however, going to check out one of these masks that Warshock is selling out of the states. It has a lot of potential for being turned into a "proper" sniper face mask as I believe it'll be easy to hot glue burlap to it (which matches the particular ghillie) and will therefore be much better than any "two dimentional" camo (such as face cam or a balaclava).

Just bought a brand new VSR-10...

Anyone wanna give me a piece of mind about what to upgrade it with?

My target FPS = 460-470

Although I couldn't care less about FPS, as long as it's got really good range.

STALKER.....calling CDN STALKER to the operating room..
I've never had the pleasure of working on one of those, but the Stalker man should be able to more than help guide you through to an excellent end result.

VSR-10?

Two words... ZERO-TRIGGER!!!!!! Should be first on your list of upgrade parts for that gun if you plan to go to such FPS especially. Other than that look for PSS10 Laylax parts.
