Take the screw you have to the hardware store and find another one like it that is the right length for what you need.

A fastener supply store would be a better bet, likely it's a metric screw and of a type not easily found.

Hopefully you plan on getting a bore-up kit, because your VSR wont be utilizing the last bit of the barrel there..

Yah probably not too soon. Need to do some investigating first to see what all goes with the bore up kit. Will my Zero trigger work, costs, will the other internals I spent so much on work? But thanks for letting me know.

Nope, It'll require putting another $500 some into all new parts.

Fox_111: Hello I saw your post of your CA M24. Can you please tell me the exact/close to exact weight of the rifle itself, without bipod, sling and scope? Reason being I'm hoping to purchase one these days, but I'm also the authentic type of guy and wish my rifle to be close to the real steel in weight. So can you please please help me weigh it and tell me its weight? Thanks so much !

This goes to all the CA M24 owners too, if you can help me weigh the thing... Coz I'm getting conflicting reports on the weight. The official specs says it's 3.6kg, while on youtube some owners say it's 10 pounds (4.5kg) of the rifle itself so I'm quite confused... What is it really guys?? Thanks!

AATV was brutally harsh on the thing, they defiantly got a faulty one, It's rock solid and just about keep's up with my Tanaka K98 on propane and BBBastard .30's (I run this for all my rifles) however the hopup adjustment is a bitch, it's accessed through the top rail so I have to remove the scope to adjust it. and right now, as you can see I don't have the original scope ring's that make the scope ride really high, turn's out that's functional to both being able to adjust the hopup and zero the scope, because mine is on normal one's it's too low for the DSR-1 design and I'm shooting high.

Ordered the real scope mount to bring the scope up to proper zeroing height and it should run just fine, I can watch the round's fly straight and true and land with quite an impact just the scope is sitting too low at the moment.

I'll wait till it get's all scratched up before I paint it, I like the space age look of this gun I think it would actually look kinda weird painted, it would loose dimension I think.

It's so tiny too! take an m4, extend the stock. thats about how long it is, so compact but it run's amazing!

ReconShooter, I never weighted my M24, but my guess is it's close to 10-12 pounds.
