I've seen them try... but well they returned the radio a few days later... it had to go to the techs.

1) I have a Wasatch in Arid Cad, its an OK rig for carrying mags. I agree with the review on the Army Forums. I mainly use a tan RRV now (but im a pretend soldier on weekends )

2) What is a "Jimmy" ?

AS experience is not really relevant.. the weight of load and duration of carry don't really relate.

Granted there are lots of the same issues regarding load distribution ease of deployment .. doffing and donning issues.. but just .. not the same

( just to nip a load of "I like this " posts)

I liked the Warlord but would have to go with MikeL on something that spreads the weight around if you are going to be standing for any period of time. (TT MAV with X harness)

You are a tall fucker and I find guys our size get it in the lower back with a Wa/Weesatch. The Warlord is even worse, it's all hanging off your front. The flack can mitigate that if it's sized right, but still.

If I was going to be LAV or Bison bound all day with a couple of dismounts, then I'd probably go Warlord. It's smaller, and lower profile.

As INF, MAV with X harness all the way, especially over issue flack.
