Assembly looks very much like a real steel Garand/M14...
Wonder how good the gas consumption is, looks like the charging handle/bolt as well as the operating rod all get blowback (a lot of material/weight). |

Yeah but the mags look big enough to hold enough gaz for a few mag worth of bb's... no?

Interesting. I want one - not because I like M14's (I don't) but because it looks nice and makes cool sounds! Not to mention that with a clear stock, a Canadian retailer might be able to import a whole bunch for non-outrageous prices. Hint hint.
Heavy son of a bitch to push all that with just gas. I wonder how long one of these would last, if it is made from the typical airsoft "metal" stuff. Looks to me like it started to suffer some cool down at 1:26-1:27. And then they cut the shooting clip. But maybe that's just me and a lack of sleep... |

In custom's minds the stock/receiver (if you can stretch the ideals that far) is the restricted part...
The WWII guys got some wood stocks to make Garands, and they had issues with the stocks getting into the country.

FYI WE have confirmed this is their prototype. It is to be their first "fully open chamber" GBBR(ie, less the brass tube). Their goal is to develop version of this type of design with other WE GBBR as well(ie, the M4, SCAR, and PDW), while retaining mag compatibility.

Wood stocks are not restricted. It's a block of wood. Receivers are the restricted part.

But CBSA are idiots at times and don't even understand their own rules. Case in point is the Cansoft KJW Hi Capa. The restricted part is the midframe. Yet, the Cansoft version has metal slide and midframe and a tinted grip. The solid grip is non-restricted and can readily be imported.
