The shirts are not listed on their website. I was physically there last night.

Medium $189.99

X-Large $189.99
XX-Large $189.99

Per item. Pants are the same cost.
hmm... O.K., I stand corrected, the information you have is different than going into the store... hence my "I hate their website". I -thought- that their 'Better BDU' bottom was cheaper than that... pretty sure of it, but that's walking into the store.

BTW, you do know that if you say you're airsofter they give you a discount?

My recommendation would be to call on Dec 26th and see what their boxing day sale is if you're wanting anything but the hybrid shirt. And, if you do call... tell them to update their website.

So what's the deal? You can't just get CF issued CADPAT anywhere? In the states you walk into a surplus store they got issued stuff (American)

To my knowledge you cannot get current issued BDU by legal means.

You can get surplus after the fact from other dealers or older versions of them.

CADPAT material is a controlled item and is not 'surplussed'. That said, any issued CADPAT you see in shops were obtained by other than legal means - they "fell off the truck". They shouldn't be there but they are. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Aftermarket gear manufacturers such as ICE Tactical and Dropzone require official gov't approval to acquire CADPAT material.

Oh! Ok I get it. Yeah they were the same way (sort of) with the Army Combat shirts. Now they are mass produced. It was my understanding that CP Gear used the real Fabric and not a knock off. Any word on that?

Does anyone have a picture of CP Gear camo to compare to the real issued stuff?

Um...well the CADPAT Cordura that CPGear uses is milspec, the same material that our smallpacks and tacvests are made with. The material that is used for the Frontenac combats they sell (which they have no control over) at one point was the same material our issued combats are made out of, just not treated for fade and IRR, but I'd have to check out what they are nowadays.

It's the same, looks the same... I -believe- the NIR capiability is the same (I have not compared the two with NVG's).

BTW, beware, if you buy the stuff, since you live in the US, do not resell it to anyone not in the US. You're breaking ITAR, which if caught (low probability) is a really really (maybe even a third really) bad thing.

Probably because it's the original CADPAT 'knockoff' and made by a Quebec company that has had suspect quality at times.

Personally if I were to want aftermarket CADPAT combats, these would be the first ones I'd pick up.

So the closest thing to REAL issued CADPAT is from CP GEAR. What I'm gathering is, it's just as good. Just, it fades.

Is the cute the same? Big ol' buttons on the pockets and etc? Or is it like a ACU pocket on the sleeve?

If anyone has a pic, i'd love to see it. I know nothing of CADPAT. I'm a huge ass fan of it. Love the Canadian Forces, hell I'd join 'em if I could. Which is why I want the most authentic CF loadout I can get. From what I gather as well, I've gone to certain sites that say they are selling Frontenac for an assload cheaper. Why does CP Gear sell it for SOO Much more?

The pic CP Gear have on line sucks donkey balls, but appears to be Frontenac. The cut is similar to the old OD green uniforms. Frontenac's QC was suspect as best, but the material was rejected issue stuff. Misprinted patterns, running dyes, colors off a bit, etc. Nothing serious. The fabric itself was the same. They're not bad at all, just don't expect much. Very simplified cut as Frontenac was not allowed to replicate the issue uniform. There's issued "surplus" Cadpat on Ebay all the time, just need to find your size. Stay the hell away for Parkland crap. It's a waste of time wiping your ass with the stuff. Dropzones stuff is very, very nice, but also, very expensive.

Yeah, I contacted Army Issue. Hopefully he can get some stuff in my size (large regular). If not, CP Gear it is.
