While Winnipeg may not have too many "urban" settings for games, that isn't stopping me from coming up with a few scenarios in my mind. I'm already talking with Leigh (Toast) in regards to sites. All I need is a decent (preferably somewhat local) location and I can start to move forward with some ideas.

I found them on eBay, but I have kept semi-regular contact with the individual I purchased them from. You're looking to do up an LAPD uniform?

Hello,
we, the “Leverkusen Action Police Team”, abbreviated L.A.P.T. are a group of re-enactors from the Leverkusen area (Northrhein-Westphalia/Germany). We occupy ourselves with the display of police units of the L.A.P.D. (Los Angeles Police Department). We display, among others, S.W.A.T., Canine (K-9), Metropolitan, and L.A.P.D. Police Officers. Our goal… is to display these areas as authentic as possible. Accordingly, we all share the same interest in collecting uniforms and paraphernalia of our example, the L.A.P.D. However we do not limit ourselves to re-enacting. We also participate in tactical training and play Airsoft, to exhibit the tactical maneuvers used and to experience the mental and physical demands of the job of a police officer. Our further interest consists of US-Police-Cars, of which some have seen active service in the United States. As proud owners of such vehicles, we can be found on numerous US-Car-Events where we try to bring the visitors closer to the theme of L.A.P.D. With each activity we undertake, fun is the most important element. Because of this, we see ourselves as a re-enactment team, with the goal of getting as close as possible to the original in our equipment and actions. Additionally, we have gathered experience in film and photo shootings, and are willing to answer any questions concerning this. In our sport- and re-enactment team, camaraderie is very important; a lot of members also come together in their spare time to have a barbeque or pursue other leisure activities. All members have a steady job, and because of this, we are able to pursue this costly hobby. Because we value authenticity so much, in order to get as close as possible to the real thing, the investments aren’t that cheap, but still affordable. Here are some pictures from our Team. Many greetings from Germany Phoenix www.L-A-P-T.de http://levswat.webs.com/ Last edited by Phoenix LAPT; November 15th, 2009 at 10:22.. |

The LAPD SWAT has several Vests. So to sample the Safariland, or the Protech Vest. Here, a pair of LAPD SWAT pictures.
