How do you deal with them?

Playing at TTAC helped bring some good tools to teaching bunker noobs whats what. And its called Close Quarters Pain. They don't want to move out of the spawn point, well then teach them with pain by getting all your friends to storm their position.

Most likely one or two of your buddies will get hit but 4 vs. 1 with constant fire up close is a great teacher.

When I was at Defcon Paintball helping out new joiners get their feet wet in Airsoft and after 3 games of them not listening to me saying move up. I would swtich teams and run all the way to the other end to give them a nice surprise. 330 FPS Hicapa to the ribs or ass is a great close quarter pain teacher. Eventually they learned to take a more forward positions to take me out and soon they used their legs to finally get out of the spawn point, yay!

I found yelling at them may not work all the time, but shooting them works best, then after they moan and groan tell them why they are in pain and what to do next time, provided they come back again....

Instead of all the experienced players taking off in a squad, split it up , grab a noob and take them with you. I find if an experienced player says "come with me, stick like glue" they'll usually follow you to the gates of hell, talk them through it.
Players cry about noobs not maintaining MED's and blind shooting, and you are all talking about lighting them up like christmas tree's, WTF?

In order to do that you need to find n00bs who are actually willing to listen to you.

Most noobs I encounter are more apt to try and tell me I'm doing something wrong (or shout at me when I'm trying to sneak up on someone to remind me of MED or some shit) than they are to take my advice.

Having said that, I'm not a great player and I know I'm not.. I play the game how I like to play it to have fun.. which more often than not results in early death

That usually does not work out as perfect as you think, I agree with Kalnaren sometimes it can be the death of you, but you do it anyway to get their feet wet

Most of the time you have a 50/50 chance that you are paired up with someone who is brave enough to get off their ass and into the action which makes up for lots of laughs and fun. Yelling at sitters ain't gonna do much.

I find that most new players are afraid to get hit. Why? Because they have thought about nothing else but the pain since arriving. So they dwell on what it will feel like and eventually build it up to the point they won't move from cover. The solution is simple. Take them aside and put one in their chest from 30 feet away. Let them know that while it may sting its not the end of the world being hit. Some will still be afraid, but those are the ones that won't come back anyways. You also have to talk to new players in a reassuring manner. "Hey wanna do something fun? When Bubba and Lee move up and the other team fires and gives away the position we are gonna go in from the side and take 'em out"

We ususally take Noobs and mix them with experience at the farm to make sure all can learn stuff. I learn stuff from every player new or old.

We play with the buddy system... When we get new people out, we put them with someone they click with. The will work as a team for the evening, and by the end of it usually you get a feel for how the guys are. Generally they get hit a few times from far away, watch the bb bounce off them, realize it doesn't hurt that much, and have a great time.

Generally though, new guys do tend to hide and not move.

A top M60 is more than enough to spurr their cojones into growing in proportion to the weapon at hand, dont put those guns at the rear, hand em to the recruits! send em forward and watch them go down in a blaze of fuckin heroic glory!!!
