you could get a TM P90. I had one, wicked rate of fire, quite reliable, only reason I sold it was because i'm a big guy and it was a bit uncomfortable to shoulder.

Well if you like the AK series and you wanted something different this would be cool.
I always loved the look of the AKS-74U http://www.icsbb.com/eicsbb/page4.as...um=3&picid=757 And for completeness you could add: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...BS401_srch_pbs

Hi Brockavich,
My personal opinion, I would say the AUG would be the first choice. I have a Tokyo Marui AUG SR and it's great. I would imagine that the CA is similar; if so, servicing is easy and you can use a twin type battery that will last all day. The AK variants are also excellent in most regards. As Alexei stated, a full stock AK can store a large battery that you can rely on without problem. Servicing for the AK is very simple as well. Both the AK and the AUG utilize the Version 3 and coincidentally, I recommend both over your other choices. I wouldn't choose the 416 as it is essentially an AR-15 variant. As far as the other recommendations, wildcard suggested a FAL, and I corroborate his statement that it would be more original. As far as M14s, if you went that route, I would go with a Tokyo Marui. I find that the Marui M14 out of the box is one of the more accurate and long ranged rifles in airsoft production. When upgraded, they become even more efficient. Finding M14 upgrades is not difficult either. Most major Airsoft retailers keep parts for them. I liked them so much I bought 2, and with the G&P short barreled EBR set up the gun is not much longer than an M4. Anyways, if you know people with the guns you are interested in, I would try them out and see which you like best. Happy hunting. |

Aug, KA FAL or AK74 variant.
All of 'em are solid guns, the AK has the most parts available for it though. |

You could try a JG G3 ras or sg1. Its 3 feet long, got a v3 gearbox, easy takedown and its got a long barrel which makes it also very accurate. Plus you dont need a mag clamp for the mags cause they clip on by themselves. Ive always wanted one as a field gun but i ride a motorbike to play so i have an mp5 and mp5k as my guns........having a 3 foot gun on your back even if its covered is very eye catching to the cops here in my country.

Personal recommendation, Classic Army SLR 105. (Think AK-74, all black. Sexy.)
T'is my rifle, and I love it. I have a reflex sight on it and a 3800MAh battery in the stock... AK aaaaalll day. But I'm an AK fan. Also looking to get a AKS-74U/N for indoors/CQB... Tough, accurate, and sexy. What else do you need? (Oh yea, you need a Russian SMERSH/modular tactical rig and Berezka camo. Well thats what I needed and now have :P) |

I think he meant that it would cause problems with customs.
If it's already in country, then the color of the lower receiver is pretty much irrelevant. Check the classified section, you might get lucky and see a good deal for an AEG you like.

Well...version 2 and version 3 mechboxes are very common and upgradeable..
Of all the guns I have had...the G3 has been the simplest and most reliable. Fits a big guy too...and you don't see many of them around these days... But as for mechboxes themselves....V2 boxes need to be of the "re-inforced" variety if you are doing any upgrades as the front end of the box is very weak and problematic. On the other hand...V3 boxes are very tough and handle upgrades well.. So...currently I personally have an assortment of G3's and G36's as well as 3 M4 variants (as the team I am on does the USMC thing) ut again a V2 gun. But when it is all said and done...my CA based fully upgraded G3SG1 is my favourite and most reliable.. my 2 cents...and then some...good luck with your choice
