I just have a gun without any stock internals XD
you should have custom built a gun from scratch then =D, would have saved you the cost of whatever the gun origionally was lol |

I've had a shit experience with G&P, bought a complete mechbox, it was completely lemoney... Now the only G&P parts left in it are the piston/cylinder set, spring guide, trigger, and wires. =(
Yours sounds awesome though lol. You havn't got prometheus gears have you? |
May 18th, 2009, 03:33 | #22 |
nope hybrid g&p marui cause the g&p spur gear was crooked and was un-shimmable so i switched it with a marui one... the gearbox almost makes any sound...

Oh man! you had that problem as well? XD maybe it wasn't just me haha. My sector gear was bent, destroying the bearings =(
Oh well, Modify SMOOTH modular FTW! What spring are you using? I'm interested in knowing how well TM gears hold up against 350+fps, if yours is that high. |
May 18th, 2009, 03:40 | #24 |
i got rid of the bearings as soon i got the mechbox... and i use a prometheus ms110 spring so about 380 fps

I'll be running 2 bearings on the bevel gear for the next 4 days lol.
Heh ok gotta stop the thread jack lmao, half a page of epicness. Anyways, brilliant looking gun, start a seperate thread for custom-builds XD |

I ran a Systema M120 (~390-400 FPS) for two years before my gears gave out, and I also got the gun used.

marui gears are freakin tough if they are installed properly! and no worry for the thread jack i think the thread pretty much died at the 3/4 of the first page

The bevel and spur gears fit fine, but I couldn't install the sector gear into my CA because the gear teeth hitting the piston rubbed against the pin holding the tigger assembly spring. =( So I put that into my kraken and swapped an XYT gear in, which fitted fine lol. And I just opened my Kraken mechbox up, after probably 5k rds it doesn't have any signs of wear on it... goddamn.
