yup, that's what actually pushes down on the hop up rubber to create hop up.

I'm with Saint here. That nub is supposed to be be flat across the top of the chamber, and not to the side. Either you installed the hopup sleeve or nub incorrectly.

I am having the same problem. I just changed my hop up for the first time and added a longer barrel but the bbs barely shoot 30 feet before they drop. Hop up is off. I did notice however though that I cannot see the hop up arm pushing down on the sleeve. Unless I push it down with my finger.

As for the other problem, Your hop-up is assembled wrong.. take it apart, set everything nicely and re-assemble with care. (while you're at it, wash your bucking in COLD water with dish-soap to remove some of that awful fish-grease that G&G uses) |

look for Flatlander or Samuel on the forums. they are providing gun doc services. |

If you are willing to pay the shipping, send it to me, I will fix it up.
Right now it sounds like something's wrong with your gearbox(Hop up seems perfect). |

As per your thread on the EAR board and what szetor said. Both Flatlander and Sam are local. One of them will figure it out.
Makes more sense to me to use a local doc, sorry no offense Skladfin.

I looked at one of these guns today exhibiting this same problem. The nozzle is inconsistant in it's movement, and sort of does it's own thing.
I remember a G&G UMP I looked at about 4 years ago, and the sector gear was shimmed so that it nearly bypassed the tappet. After awhile, it wore a groove in the tappet and totally bypassed it every time. I would look inside the gearbox. I removed the hop-up from the gun I looked at, and other than the bullshit barrel clip that allowed the inner barrel to freely rotate however the hell it wants, there was no problem with the hop-up. The gun I saw had no spring on the hop-up chamber either.
